You'll have to post a picture of the finished item once its printed, I can't quite figure out how it all goes together :-// looks good though, much sharper than my usual tinkercad creations :-DD

I have been meaning to design something similar that will be able to clamp on to any kind of Android phone with a 90 degree short extension cable. So the camera sits in the middle of the phone on the back, and the holder has a kind of "roll bar" so an inevitable fall from any angle shouldn't concentrate force on any one particular point on the camera.

What filament have you got in mind? TPU is perfect for this kind of application, it is indestructible and can absorb impacts very well

if you thinking to add extension OTG cable, make sure its Micro-A type that goes to the phone. took me sometime of head scratching why my device didnt connected through cutted out USB data/charger cable until i read some reference in the net. every charger/data cable on the market is normal USB to Micro-B connector, so i have to dismantle that tiny connector just to get access to ID pin (no breakout wire at all from factory) and short it out to GND to make it Micro-B. i managed a time to put (double taped) an old Samsung Galaxy S4 together with my $200+ Seek Compact permanently few days ago. ps: yellow was choosen because thats the firefighter color :P and i decided holder angle/slant to the front (instead of normally found products' holder slanted to the back) because i feel thats more comfortable to my hand, ymmv.

The HTI ht-301 is usb-c, not micro-b. The "otg" part is built in, 5.1k pull down resistor on pin A5 or B5

This is more what I had in mind, camera remotely mounted and if it were to fall and hit the ground, any which way it lands, little force (other than the sudden stop) will be focused on the camera or it's delicate USB plug  :-+

Switch to tpu rather than pla, abs or petg for even more protection 8)
