A question about the Flir E4 (and, of course, hacking it)

Does this E4-to-E8 hack still work if I buy a brand new E4 today?  Or does the hack only work on older units?

Yea but there are some updated files in that 323 page teardown thread to make the 2.11 fw work without issues. Did mine yesterday no problem
