thinking of getting a hik vision owl, worried it will just be a clone of the AGM

so I see a good deal on an old hikvison owl  DS-2TS03-25UM/W. It looks like its the discontinued model.

It looks exactly like the AGM taipan 25 I just returned, and others here have said its a clone.

so it seems that hik vision is the bigger company, and AGM bought monoculars from hik vision and put their logo on it.

so I am reading and it seems like hikvision uses its own software to make the image better and AGM doesnt. Or at least hik vision claims this in their website


is this true?

Maybe stick to your monocular for birds thread and stop making new ones everytime?
write down specs that you need and ready to pay for, find models that have it and buy cheapest used
