Rgb vesa output on thermal camera core
« on: November 21, 2023, 02:53:42 pm »
I have an thermal core ,  and i tryed an yellow RCA conector to an video screen.  The camera boots up and shows what brand it is, but after that it only have an grey screen and no thermal image.

Then i found out the core has Video: RGB VESA  video output.

How do i connect rgb vesa ?   the core has 4 micro output connectors .   But rgb cable only has 3,  red   blue and green   ?

Maybe this is beacuse i only get an grey screen with one RCA cable ?   since it has rgb output ,and not composite rca

Grey screen sounds like the FPA isn't working or getting read out. It may require additional arming sequence

Couple of things; what camera is this?
get a high contrast object in there, bring out an ice cube and a soldering iron, put them both in frame and see what you get on the output. It may be doing raw 16bit full span, and not doing histo equalization

Sorry for so many questions ...

what integration time are you running?   Has a NUC been performed after cooldown?     Is there an AGC on the analog out?    Access to digital video?   When it reaches cooldown do you get any error messages on the communication?
