It's relatively easy to obtain a radiometric 320x240 camera that is capped at <9Hz by the manufacturer(s) to avoid export controls - like the FLIR E4(often around $700-900), the SeeK Thermal Pro($350-500), Thermal Expert Q1(<$1000), and sometimes even the non-"Hz" Therm-App from Opgal(their eBay store often dips below $1000, and used units go for around that much).
One can argue that you don't need more than 9Hz for most, if not all civilian applications, and that is completely true, but if you forgo that argument and look at the market there seems to be a vacuum of options in this particular segment.
I'm talking specifically about devices capable of temperature measurement, because "scope" or "monocular"-style 320x240 30/60Hz cameras do exist and can be purchased from many places, including those that do not conform to ITAR/Wassenaar(Russia, China).
What are your opinions on this? Do you know of any company that makes/sells higher frame rate radiometric cameras with the aforementioned specifications for less than $1000 to customers that fill out the necessary paperwork and obtain an export license?
