Looking for a long range android thermal camera
« on: Yesterday at 04:13:54 pm »
As the title says I’m looking for a long range thermal camera that can be used on android phone for mount to drone, I’ve played with a few and realized that a small fov is best for this goal as it focuses the resolution of the sensor over a smaller landscape and since it will be on a drone at distance, the small fov doesn’t matter it will still see a lot at 800m for example from the scene being observed.  Any recommendations of a small fov high res (384x288) thermal camera for android/usb?

From a bit of research, the Infiray P2 Pro might be of some use to you (especially when it can be mounted on other devices than just drones).

Thank you it tried the P2 and it has a average not focused fov so the res and focus at distance is very poor

Hmm... well how about the Xinfrared T2 Pro or the HT-301?

Ht-301 I also tried res is good but fov is not, t2 pro lens is good and makes good use of the pixels it has, I wish they made a 384x288 model with the same fov/lens as the t2 pro, that would be a winner!

TS001 has adjustable focus and a fairly narrow angle - it's intended for longer distances than most. But it's possibly a bit big for a drone, not a tiny cube like the infiray.

Found what I was looking for the xh15 (x3) but it’s not for sale anywhere that I can find.
