flir one pro not charging
The new thermal imager was charged for the first time, was used until the thermal imager was completely discharged, after which it stopped charging when connected to charging. This happened with two thermal imagers simultaneously. Who faced this problem and what to do? Thank.

That does not sound good.

You can try the FLIR One G2 trick of plugging the unit into the charger and holding the power button down for a few minutes. This used to work on some units.

It almost sounds like the battery protection circuit is being activated and isolating the battery. If you can get some charge into the battery either via the power button hold down trick or by removing the battery and charging it externally you may recover the cameras normal operation.

If you can send the camera back for a refund or exchange, I would do so, it sounds like a charge controller and battery protection issue. Such was common on the F1G2   :(

Thank you, but can there be problems with the firmware?

Sadly, I just discovered my Flir One Pro has exactly the same problem, and it is literally a few weeks past warranty expiration. Tried holding the power button down 10 mins while attempting to charge to no avail.

This was bought for use with company demos on the road. I thought I was paying a little extra for better quality compared to Seek. I was incorrect, it seems. Very disappointed  :--.

I guess I can take it apart and try to charge the battery as described in other threads, but I should not need to do this.

Just another data point,
John

I got thermal imagers from ir.ukrm. One has a typical malfunction. The firmware does not load. After heating the controller, the imager is working. After shutdown does not turn on. I tried to change the controller. Made a memory chip reball. Perhaps someone could understand the cause of the breakdown? Breakdown is very common. New PRO break as often as the second version.
