Hi all! New to the world of thermal photography and excited to join the forum!
I just got a T2S plus and am pretty happy with it so far. I intend to use it entirely for creative purposes, and I'm wondering if there's an alternative to the Xtherm app.
I know there are a couple third party apps for the X2, and I've heard of a community app for the T2S+ floating around on Discord but haven't tried it.
Basically I'd like to capture and record the images coming off the sensor as raw as possible, with no upscaling, as I prefer to use my own scaling process.
I want to capture the original 256x192 pixels (or 196 if it includes the bottom 4 rows of metadata) in as high a quality as possible.
I can do this on PC with OBS, but this limits my mobility as I'd have to use a laptop. This brings me to my second idea:
Barring a different app, another option might be to hack together a little raspberry pi recorder that can run off a battery, record to an SD card, and maybe 3d print a little housing. I'm not super versed in pi stuff but it would be an interesting project. Does anyone know if someone's done anything like this before and if so, have they documented their process?
Any resources or thoughts on either option would be much appreciated!
