0.7x Barlow Lens for this Stereo Microscope possible?

Hi.
I needed stereo microscope for soldering work, and got this used one:

     

It has WF10X eyepieces and switchable 2X and 4X objective, you rotate it 180deg to select.

Now I read everywhere that I'm better off with 0.5x or 0.7x Barlow Lens at the bottom, to reduce magnification and increase working distance. Most common barlow lenses have 48mm diameter screw-on threads.
But this scope has no threads at bottom, see "Pic 1", was a bit of disappointment.

What do I do? Much appreciated!

That looks to me like a typical, 10X/20X dissecting microscope. Here, is an ad for the one I have, I bought for cheap to learn on, that shows a typical use and user:



(Looking at her hands and makeup, I would say that is an older model posing as a high school student.)

I expect you belong to a different demographic that needs a different microscope, a "routine, system microscope", which you can add to or change – for example, with different stands, eyepieces, barlow lenses, and so on – to address a wide range of applications.

Yes, typical stereo scope, I'm not in position to buy new AmScope, but I want AmScope

It seems I have the solution, I bought this 0.3X Barlow lens on Aliexpress with 42mm thread, that I will jam somehow into the bottom of the black plastic conical housing I have, which is 40mm inside diameter at the bottom.

AmScope SM-3 Manual   SM-3_Manual_151001.pdf  has same barlow lens arrangement (see page 15), which gives me hope.

This will reduce magnification from 20x,40x to 7x,14x with increased working distance. Now I need boom-arm stand lol

That often gives not half bad results because of the low numerical aperture of the barlow lens.

Rather than jam, you could glue to the conical housing, a 42mm  to something-at-least-as-big camera thread adapter and then be able to add or remove the lens or other accessories. What is the plastic?

Yea, I heed to find something bigger with inner 42mm thread, it feels like a challenge...

Look at ~40mm PVC waste pipe and you might know someone local that can spin it to size for just a simple firm press fit.
