Fluke Hacking?
« on: January 15, 2019, 05:20:53 am »
As per https://youtu.be/dRxSJ8f8az0?t=473 Fluke 353 appears to be hackable/"user upgradeable" and I know I've seen a good bit of electronic test equipment hacking on the youtube channel but I'm not sure who all here is interested. Maybe EEVBlog will enjoy this?

PS. I just registered here but I've been a long time watcher and have learned tons!

If anyone does have a working Fluke 353 clamp meter, consider helping AvE out.  (He made the above video.) His has the dial hoopajooped (no detents), and he'd love to get the measurements for 3D printing a new one.  I bet a few pictures of an actual working dial assembly (plastic parts) would do the trick.

Any idea how to message him?

I looked at messaging through YouTube but couldn’t see if I can.

I have a 355 with a smashed lcd screen I’m happy to send him as long as he is happy to cover postage costs back to me once he’s finished with it. lcds are available as replacements, but that’s in my huge “todo pile”

Comment on that video, he'll find a way unless he already got good enough pics.
