t7 tester

i have a t7 component tester,its had little use but now when i press the yellow button without anything connected  it reads as two diodes,one on pins 1+2 and one on pin 1+3 both with a vf of 1.098v,is it busted or is that normal,as is it still tests caps ok.

Check the protection diode set (a small 6-pin chip connected to the inputs). One of its diodes may be shorted.
