Unlocking Siglent SDS1104X-E, step by step

I see that there are procedures to revert to the original 100Mhz, and also delete the entitlements (WIFI, etc).  How about a complete factory reset, including Startup Times?  Is there a way to complete erase all logs, etc.?  Essentially bring the scope back to factory virgin configuration.

Why, whom are you trying to deceive ? 
There is a Secure Erase feature that deletes all user settings, IP, WiFi passwords etc.

It's just not needed when you have Factory Default and Secure Erase.
All that remains is the preexisting boot count and any options licenses.

When we have a new unit that is not up to date with the OS and FW we can easy put a few boots on it before PD checks are finished and it's not a good look when a customer receives one with say 4 boots on it already so then and only then do we return it to zero.
3 units just PD checked didn't require such as they all were right up to date so they go out the door with just a single boot on them.

Thanks for the Welcome!  Not  trying to deceive anyone, but I did buy an Amazon Warehouse deal returned/used SDS1104; came without factory packaging.  Looks new, and upon bootup it came up with Startup Times as 1.  However some of the sundries did look used.  Amazon usually doesn't do much cleanup of returns before selling, so wondering if the previous purchaser reset the counter.

TBH it's quite fiddly to get probes and such back into their pouch so they look like new.
What matters is everything working as it should ?

So far so good .  I knew I as poking the bear asking the question once I hit send, but had to ask.  Bringing the scope up to latest images, I see the FPGA Version states 2021-11-8.  Running software version 6.1.37R10.  Looks like I'm good with latest code.

Do you mean 1104X-E?

Does it display "Command send success" in the response box?

Do you get a response from other queries such as "MENU?" It should respond with MENU ON or MENU OFF.

I wonder why with new firmware from 1.3.36 or 1.3.37 Telnet cannot open port to scope anymore.
I need re-up back to old fw for hacking then upgrade later.

so I did the same thing and thought maybe something wrong or cannot get ID with this series... 

Now I've unlocked successful and mine is SDS1202X-E with -C- hardware based

Sorry. Should have read your post more closely. I assumed that you were using the web interface.

btw...scopeid? & scope_id? both work on the 1104X-E.

I've tried on EasyScope last night (2 channels is not supported Web sever).
Yes, scopeid? & scope_id? both worked !
But on Telnet only scope_id? ok.
As you see the pic I attached above, scopei? command returns none result.

Yes, for me it worked super smoothly, using the information shared along these posts (via python script and scopeid).
Firmware file (latest) => SDS1xx4X-E_6.1.35R2_EN.zip

Uboot-OS Version: 8.3

Also enabled and using Wifi dongle TL-WN725N V3, bought from local reseller for <6€
