UEI dm393
« on: July 12, 2011, 02:28:01 am »
Any one here own a UEi dm393 ? After looking at the shootout I think it'll serve me well and the 393 has true RMS and Temp.

So if anyone has one, tell me what you think of it. And is there is an Aus supplier or best place to purchase?

regards

Wal

Should be identical to the 391 I reviewed. If so it's a very well made basic meter, I liked it.
Don't know of any aus supplier for UEi.

Tequipment have it in the US:

It's on ebay:

Thanks Dave, I just got a quote from tequipment. $50 bucks shipping and $25 bucks bank transfer, a total of around $200-. I thing for that price I'd rather grab a free shipped Fluke from china LOL.  :o

Well I was tempted by the one on E-bay but after reading through the seller's accumulated negative feed back I reckon I'll steer clear of that one LOL, But thanks any way Dave I'll keep a look out.

99.4%?
8 negative, 454 positive.
What's wrong with that?

Dave.

Check out these guys in Australia.

http://mummetools.com/contact.html

They carry Klein Tools, and Klein Tools owns 50% of UEi.  Maybe the Klein Tools meters cross over to the UEi meters.

You should check out the Amprobe 37XR-A here:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Amprobe-37XR-A-True-RMS-Digital-Multimeter-/200605459293?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2eb504635d

I bought one and it seems to be pretty good with 0.1% accuracy (no temperature though).

With delivery it works out cheaper than the UEI too.

Dave.

There must be some relationship, or partnership, between Mumme Tools in Australia and Klein Tools in the US.  Mumme lists Klein Tools on their website, and Klein Tools has a Mumme catalog on their site.
