Dear Forum,
this is my first post here. I have been reading these Forums for quite some time and i must say i got the chance to learn a lot! So first i want to give a huge Thank You!
I have always been using the same old analog Teltronix, mainly doing audio stuff. Following a signal in an broken amp, designing analog synth modules.
Recently i have been drawn to compliment this with one of those new digital scopes, mainly for being able to capture and store events, also to get a few more channels.
I am leaning towards a DHO804 or DHO914 (never owned a signal generator other than my soundcard) bevause they offer 12 bit and hdmi out. I definitly want a bigger screen hooked up. Sadly this does not seem to leave much alternatives, as most comparable models from other brands unfortunately have no HDMI.
DHO914 with 16" Touchscreen, both mounted on an vesa arm shure looks cool in my imagination...
Now to the question:
I have never considered a usb scope since i definitly want some kind of real hardware interface. Knobs and buttons.
But what about midi or OSC controllers?
Are there any software options that allow the use of midi or other protocolls to use a custom controller?
I would love to built me a nice hardware controller for all the main functions.
I only found one thread here talking about that this is actually standard in audio software, but there seemed to be no solution.
Has there been any development in that regard?
(with usb osci i am also scared of the software getting abandoned but i suspect there are some major players that do reliably update their product...)
