Time travelling on my Keysight EDUX1002G
« on: August 14, 2017, 02:27:54 am »
The other day I watched a video where Dave discovers the LOST Easter Egg on the Agilent (Keysight) DSOX2000 scope.

So I decided to check if the same Easter Egg is present on my EDUX1002G... and indeed, I activated the 108 minute countdown clock of the SWAN Hatch!!!

And after 108 minutes...

No wonder why this scope can travel in time and activate the serial decode trial license over and over and over...

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/problems-registering-promotional-dsox1102g/msg1257164/#msg1257164

Here is how to activate the Easter Egg:

Press the BACK button
The menu buttons are numbered from top (1) to bottom (6).
Enter the last 4 LOST numbers 15 16 23 42
Voila! You are in THE SWAN hatch and the 108 minute countdown clock is activated

EDIT: The back in time "feature" is available only on the original firmware.  If you upgrade to the latest firmware or you receive a new unit with the latest firmware on it, the remaining trial days will change when you change the system date.

The DSOX1204, EDUX1052 series has the same Easter Egg

Having a chance to test and play with the DSOX1202G, I can also confirm that it is still here in the recently released updated versions (Black, Linux) of the 2-ch scopes.
