ok, the pinball in question is the Terminator 2 pinball,
the transformer specs are:
100/115/220/230 VAC 50/60 Hz primary
Secondary windings:
6.8 VAC separate Molex connector for the illumination
100 VAC
80 VAC
51.4 VAC
16 VAC
13.3V AC
9 VAC
9.8 VAC
(those all go into a fat ugly Molex connector)

18 VAC for the audio ...

Connectors:
Molex 19-09-1096 and the male version is Molex 19-09-2099.

Transformer   Schematic   12835
Width                       3.474
Height                    4.4
Depth                     5.264
Mount                       Narrow (4.5)
Connector                       Male
1,2 (5V digital)   9VAC   9.84
3,4 (Flashers)   16VAC   17.06
5,8 (DMD 62V)   80VAC   86.8
6,9 (DCS #1)   18VAC   19.72
9,12 (DCS #2)   18VAC   19.74
6,12 (DCS)   36VAC   39.38
7,10 (Fliptronic)   51.4VAC   55.3
11,13 (12V digital)9.8VAC   12.47
GI   6.8VAC   7.90
DMD   100VAC   109.1
Line (115V primary)   120VAC   121.2

I need to check the line rating for the transformer. I would expect it to be in the 1200 - 1400 W range ...

And what are the current ratings for all those secondary windings?

I need to measure. Unfortunately this is not trivial ...
Need to open up another pb, have a great game to put the secondaries under load ...
(where do I have that clamp meter ....)

The other recently ordered lead amputation apparatus arrived in the mailbox today.  As with the other one, verrah naace.      -Pat

I've had one of those for close to 3 decades. It has served well, but is now in a most disreputable state after twice shattering at the tip and being reground to usable profile. They are gloriously sharp, and very hard. So much so that they encourage one to take risks.  :P

Learn from my mistakes... don't try to nip anything large *coughm2screwcough* or hard *coughguitarstringcough* near the tip. Further down the blade, you'll be fine. But not right near the tip.  ;)

Bargain of a life time just popped up here, act quick if interested... probably won't be for sale for more than 30 minutes...

A Metrix MX54C DMM in good nick for only 20 Euros.

https://www.leboncoin.fr/bricolage/2176535064.htm

Pic doesn't show if it's alive or not, and it's missing the safety jack cover at the bottom... but still. Probably works just fine.

Would buy it in a heart beat but I am so broke I can't even spend 20 Euros on a TE or anything. I am now officially in survival mode, zero budget for hobbies or even food really, until I find a job.

Someone please buy it, you can always flog it later for 5 times the price.

EDIT : ah, seller says, well kinda implies that it's for local pick up.. even though his ad, as always, pretends he can ship. Still, worth a try...

EDIT #2 : already sold (not me as I said), took only a couple hours, as expected...

Alternatively, one might measure the wire gauges of the various windings.
If I knew everything I'd be starving because no-one could afford me.

How difficult would it be to show it powered up with a display? I am very skeptical and personally I wouldn't touch it unless seller provides the proper pictures.  :scared:

Oh no, that's not how French seller work. Guy says it works fine, you just need to take a screenshot of his ad to keep a backup of his description then argue with the website.
You would not believe how French brains work... believe it or not most of the stuff that's not powered up actually does work just fine, the sellers are simply so stupid that they don't even think buyers  would need proof of that, because most of the time they are honest (but are simply clueless about how to sell/advertise stuff) and just don't even think that people would not trust them. Simple as that.
It's not like Ebay where sellers are professional liars trying to screw people all the time. Leboncoin is not that kind of site... on that site you get the average joe as he is.. ie clueless and not calculating anything.

So yeah you can ask for more pictures of course... but as always whenever there is a good deal like this, there is always someone who will buy it quick and just accept to take a gamble, to make sure he secures the TE. when the deal is good, you don't have time to interact with the seller, or someone else will buy it before you because he took the risk.

Yes cultural... had I not taken many "risks like these, I would not have half of the bargains I got in my lab.
People just don't think that "Oh the guy will want to see it working on the pic ".
People just are clueless here, completely clueless.

At such a ridiculously low price you just buy it and take a gamble, nothing to lose. Worse case it's a part unit for another one later down the line.
I would only ask for pics and take the risk to lose the deal, if he were asking more money for it, like 40 Euros or more. but at only 20 Euros it's a no brainer, you just buy it that's all  8)
Going price for this model is about 90/120 Euros, and there aren't that many for sale to begin with as it's not the entry model. the MX53/C is, and is easier to find.

That's just a guess, based on my Dragon paw mugs, which are 20 oz... let me go find a measuring cup...  :palm:

No.

"Cup envy" (formerly only observed between girls) may now have been spotted in male participants of his thread  :o

Not exactly envy... more like trying to find an acceptable substitute. I do miss this mug terribly; it fit my dwagon paws perfectly, held just enough coffee, and correctly reflected my attitude most mornings.  ;) Sadly, it didn't make it back to the States with me from Canada.  :o

Williams Part number is 5610-12835-00 according to this listing from WorthPoint:

Might also try 50013 971246 from the sticker on top, in case somebody listed the thing wrong.

EDIT: There are several other machines this XFMR is supposedly cross-compatible with, according to MarcoSpecialties.com.

Alt Part Number: 5610-13491-00 according to this want-ad from PinSide. :-//

Hi Mnem,

I know that (also the part number).
The last one I came across went for 800 AussiPesos which is preposterously high for a used transformer.

The secondary outputs are generally 14 - 16 gauge wires ...
naturally I could check on the total electrical rating of the pb machine. Some of them blow a 16A circuit breaker (@230VAC) when switched on which is why more modern machines have a limiter built in.

Looks like someone just sold 2 of them on pinside.com, tho I suspect the advertised price of $75 turned into a private bidding war if what you say is true. That XFMR is evidently also used on the classic Williams bowling games...? Dang; has to be a fair bit of juice in that complicated-arse machine.

I saw a want-ad asking for a 5610-12835-00 or a 5610-13491-00 ... possible alt part number?

Another hit from Pic-Click seems to support this (though of course already sold):

They mention something about 14V for sound board... I'd guess that means one of them outputs right at 16V after rectification, so need to make sure sound board has 25V caps instead of 16V...?
