Ah, I am sure it is a very beautiful area.  I checked, and I have not had the pleasure to visit there.  The name sounded familiar, but I was in fact remembering Varena, Trentino.

I've been to Trentino-Alto and can attest that it's beautiful, at least in Winter - never been there in Summer.

It is very beautiful in summer too -- more so IMNSHO, when there's no snow to stop you from walking in the mountains.

I skied round the Sella Massif,  and was reminded of Conan Doyle's "The Lost World" inspired by Roraima.

Noticing a valley, I wondered if it would be possible for a non-climber to walk to the top. That lead me to books on the Via Ferrara or klettersteige.

A couple of years later I had a wonderful 2 weeks walking, doing things I would never have believed I would do.

Now I'm  not bothered by not seeing the Grand Canyon.

Did any of the UK gang here have one of those rancid turkeys that the Mirror is reporting about. Apparently sold by Aldi, Lidl, Asda, Morrisons. Tesco and Marks and Spencer https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/brits-hit-out-supermarkets-rancid-25784681 This is widely reported in many newspapers and also in the European press.

This so far only refers to fresh turkeys, not frozen, but judging by my experience in Iceland last week with the frozen turkey with the Use by Aug 2021 printed on the packaging, there may be some incidents of food poisoning later on, does not surprise me.  

PS, my own frozen turkey from Iceland was beautiful.

Yes, they are heavy, 9.5 kg. I've lugged one around before. Feels like more than 9.5kg. There is a big transformer in them for the 115V output and 25A bond test.
This is the origial model which should not have the annoying service message. If the relay has worn out and gives  failure message I'll do a return as it was sold as "used".
He has another one that is even dirtier and has no earth bond lead.

I grew up in a vegetarian household, Dad wasn't, but he like me had zero option in the matter, Mum refused to touch meat. When I got married, meat was a new experience to me, so now I can switch back and forth with no trouble, as long as the meat alternative is tasty. My oldest son is living with his girlfriend who is a vegetarian, so he never gets turkey for Christmas, but this year he did the cooking and got himself a small chicken, so I guess that he'll end up, like me, happy with either option.

Tomorrow we are going round theirs for tea, a bit worried if I'm honest, he works in a wholesaler and as assistant manager, shares the same office as the manager, who last week was tested positive. Son got tested and was negative, but his girlfriend's brother and parents last week also tested positive. Hoping that she has had no contact with them recently, I don't think so because she is in the at risk group and cannot have the vaccinations because of her underlying conditions, the specialists at St Thomas's Hospital have said, could be risky for her.

If it's just a failed relay that generates the message that'll be easy to fix. I was imagining some time/number of tests based software tag. I'll be honest, I've been too lazy to prise it open to have a look!
