And now, some of the plug-ins from yesterday's haul.  More pics to follow as I go though things.

All appear to be in excellent physical condition, which seems a rarity for these things as the knobs are pretty delicate and based on what I see listed online people are inclined to toss them around rather carelessly.  My plug-in-less mainframes will be happy.

Porn.... on a stick!  :-DD

Very nice plugin collection... I need that 7A24 for my Tek 7904A  ;D

Edit: thanks for editing!

Entire message deleted, for simplicity. Let people wonder what the hell was going on :)

I guess it's a good thing that my TEA thread backup doesn't run continuously.

Speaking of which, bd, did you get yours running?

It’s “mostly working” at the moment but not run on a schedule. I had mostly forgotten about it if I’m honest due to a large influx of TE  :-DD

No problem. I still run mine whenever I'm on on the forum. Not super-robust, that schedule, but at least we have a backup.

Checking in over dinner. We have aboot half the truck loaded; more than enuf room to make it all one trip so we're taking our time. All the little fiddly bits are killing us; we've been packing for weeks and still more packing to do.

A'aight... Time to dismantle some beds.

Since people seem to like to show food, here is my contribution.  Mrs. GreyWoolfe went to visit her daughter on the other side of the state so I was left to my own devices.  Might look like a plate of spaghetti with meat sauce but is actually vegan.  Shirataki sautéed in olive oil with diced red pepper, diced portobello mushrooms, diced roma tomato and plant based "chorizo" crumbles.  All seasoned with onion and garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, thyme, salt and pepper and, joy of joys, fresh sweet basil out of her containerized garden.  High in protein, very low in carbs, which allowed me to have a piece of multigrain bread with oleo and I certainly get my daily servings of veggies.  I sent her a pic in messenger, she said she was jealous and wants me to make it for her.

I meant to post this here, but without realizing it was in the WDYBT thread the other day.  Reposting now for the intended audience.

Found a new mug for coffee/TEA folks to search for:

It's a bit smaller and more delicate than the heavier bue Tek and green HP mugs I've previously gotten, but definitely an unusual one - never saw this kind before.

-Pat

OK, OK. So, collecting test equipment wasn't enough. Now we have to collect mugs about the test equipment we've been collecting?!? :o

Help!!! (Hmm, wrong thread to yell that I suppose.) :-DD

Playing second fiddle to Kale....?    I mean, really?

Back to Test Equipment....

My PAT seems to work fine with battery power - but is dead when trying to run on mains.

Messaged the seller about this and after a couple of back-and-forth messages, it seems they don't really know much about how this unit really operates - including its ability to be powered from mains.  They suggested "It might need calibration" - but they were going to contact the manufacturer on Monday and let me know what they said.

I couldn't leave this mystery without some investigation, so I checked the resistance across the active and neutral .... open circuit.  A quick peek inside reveals a real transformer and continuity from the mains plug to the board was ok, so the list of suspect components is really short.

However, access to the reverse side PCB is not wonderful.  It is secured by several screws - and, joy of joy, pins of the panel mounted switches directly soldered to it.  These are accessible - but there are enough of them to make me pause.  The board does have a very nice conformal coating, though.

I put it back together and will await the seller's next communication before considering my next move.

The easy out is to just run it on battery power: 6 x AA batteries in a holder or a 9V in a pinch - which will probably be the most convenient - but there's always that niggling feeling of an item that was purchased as "Used" which has a fault that was not declared.....

Link to the manual for mine here the only difference is likely the Leakage test module up the top right https://www.wagneronline.com.au/attachments/Datasheets/CZ5001_User-Guide.pdf

Let me know if you need any voltages or points measured  :)

View of the backend of mine too
