Did someone say TM500?

I should sell some of the AM503's.... :D Maybe someone will trade for a scope module...

(SG503 present in faceplate only, it's on the operating table.)
Also absent is two Metrotex modules MP215 Ultrasonic Pulser and MR106 Receiver, and a Metec 5267 Voltage Tuneable Filter. If anyone has info on these 3 units, please share!

Ignore the gaping hole in the centre bottom of the photo, my 34461A is out for warranty repair.  :(

Damn, dude - nice collection!

If it jams, force it.  If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway...

And when your contract lapses the phone is landfill; they lock them out and will not reactivate for another user, so literally eWaste the day it was made.

I never buy locked phones. Unlocked is the norm here, so it's easy.

From December it will be illegal to sell locked phones in the UK. Many sellers have stopped already.

Only about 20 years and 20 million tonnes of eWaste too late. Hey, that's pretty good, for government.
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

Those ones are pricey... One listed on Yahoo right now for a bit too much, seeing as I blew my budged on the Rubidium standard the other day:
https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b1002064788

I missed out on an audio analyser and function gen modules in a TM503 mainframe not long ago, it went for over $500! I already got a HP 8903B though, so I wasn't that keen for the Tek one at that price...

Ok everyone, now that I'm back from getting the groceries in, here's an update on the Fluke input jack scenario. I raised a dispute with eBay covering my back, and the seller and I engaged in discussions and I outlined that I paid for a new item, not what was clearly a pull from a duff meter and supported it with some photos. A little while later he replies and gave me an apology, saying that he 2 stock bins, new parts in one and second hand in the other and that he had his children helping out in his store and that they must have picked the wrong item. Well it's very plausible, and he has given me a full refund, including the shipping and import taxes, so a very honest and trustworthy seller.

His eBay identity is joelfriend and I attach his business card for the benefit of fellow members in the USA, you might like to about him as he seems to a really nice and fair person to do business with.

So end result is that I ended up with a nice Fluke 85 meter with good input jacks (even if they aren't new, they might well last the lifetime of the meter who can say, for not a lot of money after all. :-+

After having powered up, and listened to, the 53132A for the first time in a good few days I'm of the opinion that it needs a fan-ectomy.

Current fan is a Delta DBF0412M: 40 x 40 x 10 mm, 12VDC and 7.17 cfm. Anybody got any suggestions for a quiet(er) replacement, or should I just get another Delta?

N.B. Having a fancy OCXO this is one of the "If it's plugged in it's on standby" HPs, so the fan is always on when the power lead's there, therefore it wants to be as quiet as possible.

The cynic in me says that the "New Parts Bin" has been empty (or worse, full of Chinese counterfeits) since somewhen around the time I bought the last 3 that FLUKE-USA had years ago, and this guy has discovered it is still profitable to refund the occasional buyer who can tell the difference and bothers to raise a dispute...
