argllll. Construction permit missing for the "Winter Garden". Notarization postponed until seller brings the construction permit. |O |O |O

Eff my life ...

Do an "Elon" on it: Build first, worry about permits later.

McBryce.

Btw: Wintergarten in English is called a Conservatory (not to be confused with the French Conservatoire which is a music school).

Once sanding is complete and door test fitted then will be stain and poly.

No need for us to ask what colour wood-stain you'll be using...   :horse:

But I'll show you anyway.  :P :-DD

But, but, but, but... it's not blue!   :scared:

Now, now, everything will be just okay!

Remember, this is for a Smurf house.   The Smurf itself is blue!

 :phew:

... and the question goes to my friend Cubdriver:  The fan is more loud then the final of the super boal,
repair or swap to another one ?

Martin, I also have a 5248L and the fan is LOUD. It's normal and there really isn't anything that can be done about it.  :palm:

How long does it take for those fans to reach full-deafening speed?
In my sample of one, it feels like it takes a long time, which has me slightly nervous about the fan....

Trim work is done. That's all for today. Tomorrow plywood, door, and sanding. If all goes well may even get coat of stain done.

Does it sound like the one in my 5248M?

LOL - my first inclination with everything is to try to fix it, but I've had less than stellar success doing so with muffin fans in the past as they're not always disassembly-friendly.

Nice looking counter, Martin!

-Pat

The 5248M has a different fan to the 5245L, the 5245L has a slower? open frame shaded pole type fan, the 5248M has the muffin fan for improved cooling.
Mine needed oiling as it had got a rather noisy rattle & was running a bit slow, from being stored prior to fixing the problem the crystal oven.

You could always replace it with a 5325A/B, as they have no fan.  8)
And I quite like the noise of the 5340A muffin fan at start-up myself.

I've also disabled all web configuration interfaces. It is useless. The command line is king, when mansaxel is typing.
Fixed for you.

Those are pretty rare it seems - it was on my watchlist for at least a year before I saw one.

nah, they could force me to tear it down.
The seller needs to get the permit. Had a long talk with the realtor and they are working on it.

where do the badges go?

Probably to the same interdimensional pocket where all the missing instrument feet and single socks that vanish from the laundry wind up...

A few ebay etc picks:

Waterproof boat anchor

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124855346598

I'm sure Med would quite enjoy re-spraying that in Tek blue:-DD

A couple more to consider;

hp 130B, the 130 series was a lower cost scope & sold quite well.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/255094829009

Very odd looking hp 120B with P11 (blue) CRT, too risky for me to bid on due to GSP & quite expensive to ship, will be to too large for the GSP service.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/284412866324

And a hp 180C for those in Europe, can't understand why it's still on here after weeks of being listed.

It's already sold !  Auction has ended.

Wow... only 130 Pounds ?!  An 8 digit one, in great nick, display working, with a 3GHz plugin ?!  :o

Good to know these beasts are not THAT expensive !

Hoping to get a similar one one day...

EDIT : OK I think you meant " anyone BOUGHT " not "anyone BUY " ?!

Frog got confused !  :-[

Either way 130 is cheap...
