Ah, don't want a round-up war on TEA for sure ! LOL
I am all against it of course... like any chemical having anything to do with food.
Many farmers over here do without it just fine, it's just a matter of principles, values, and will.
More and more are willing to do well, so that's encouraging.
However banning it abruptly is nonsensical if the government does not compensate / help farmers to engage into a round-up (and any other chemical) free, "organic" culture instead.
If some old beards insist on pouring tons of chemicals on food others than him will eat and make money from it... it's a dying breed so let them die.
The others willing to do better, let's help them convert into better and cleaner practices.
It's hard to justify that eating chemicals is better than not eating chemicals. If it was that good there would not be a "danger" sign on the round-up containers and the health ministry would encourage people to drink a pint of the stuff every morning to live well and long. But they don't.. how surprising ....
But people on TEA tend to be older guys I feel, who are therefore unlikely to change their minds and be very stubborn , so it's a great recipe for endless and totally unproductive wars, which will be fun to watch !
I won't participate though, will just watch for entertainment ! ... or maybe if that leads to too much traffic, might stay away from TEA for 2 or 3 days, the time for the dust to settle !
