You still get beans in jute sacks Bean ?
Rarely see jute here these days and if we do it's put aside for bee smoker fuel.

Yep still 'normal' for get fiber outer bags for the beans but more of them now come with an inner plastic barrier bag so the fiber will likely go at some stage. I find all they do is suck in and trap dirt around the shack so dog bed liners or around the garden is a better use.

Beeswax and oil on anything cast or exposed steel is my preference and seems to work ok given we are under 10km from the coast.

And I must say, there are more 3734As in this group than I’d have expected.  Seems to me that one was in my search list for quite some time before I was able to snag it.

I’m pleasantly surprised!   :-+ :-+ :-+

Pity, I don't own such a counter. And here it seems they are rare.
But currently I'm having my eyes on another rare Nixie item. Will keep you posted, if I'll be successfull buying it.

Well, unless I've missed my mark, Med must be coming around from the anaesthetic and groggily groping nurses around now. (It's what I did when I had the one and only general anaesthetic that that I've had).
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

This page's 'numbersake' arrived in rather rough shape, but is in the queue for a makeover one of these years.

well it looks like maybe we won't.

It's going to be later today.  Yesterday I ended up with a friend in crisis and had to pick him up at the train station and deal with the aftermath.  I drove down right before he was due to arrive, sent a bunch of text messages saying where I was parked and they didn't register as delivered.  Then I tried calling but it went to voicemail.  Then I got out of the car, locked it, took a wander through the train station looking for the guy in and around the platform the arrival board indicated, couldn't find him, went back to the car and then got a call from him saying his phone died and that he's way down the street at the other end of the station where he had it plugged into a wall socket charging back up so I had to loop the block and collect him there.

By the time I got home I was wrecked so the hard case stayed closed and I went to bed after having a seriously late dinner.  I'm tossing around a test setup in my mind for the Fluke for later today.  Holy crow.  First I need to run the friend somewhere after he stayed the night.

The two times I've had a general anaesthetic, I was very surprised that I seemed to "come to" instantly - without grogginess. My guess is that I was given something to counteract the anaesthetic.

Not invented.  It's real.  There are a few pictures around.

The HP badge goes where the two holes to the left of the model number are.

Dammitt... This is what happens when I'm cooped up in the car all day looking at properties...  :-DD

Yes it is real, here is the one I repatriated last year. Unfortunately the NRB's seem very prone to failure in these and isn't an easy to find one either as it uses them for the decimal point.  I've already replaced two completely dead ones, need to look at replacing the third that is very tired.

Yeah, reversal drugs are one of the reasons they can do day surgery. Mind you with my last one my recollection of coming round differs somewhat from SWMBO's  :-DD

Damn - I've got a piece of HP nixie gear the freqq doesn't know about?!?  Never thought I'd see this day!

Somewhere there's a big whirlpool, full of HP badges, Clement Cabinet feet, and the single socks that have disappeared from dryers for decades.  Seriously, it's annoying how often those damned little badges go missing, and stuff looks like crap without them.

The two times I've had a general anaesthetic, I was very surprised that I seemed to "come to" instantly - without grogginess. My guess is that I was given something to counteract the anaesthetic.

I had induction with propofol and maintenance with Halothane. Halothane is fat soluble so it takes a while to flush out of the system. Coming around from it is a bit like being very, very drunk with all the same effects (loss of equilibrium, loss of inhibitions, "beer goggles") except you don't feel sick.  The GA I'm talking about having was in the early 80s. Halothane is now a very old fashioned anaesthetic and isn't in regular use in the developed world any more although it is still on the WHO 'essential drugs' list.
