Good luck with that one. Hope it goes ok so you can grumble at us about it on discord  :-DD.

Also I’d rest up for a loooong time after that. The longer you rest the longer the repair lasts. The more 547’s you lug the shorter it lasts!
He sent nurse Jo Ann back too early.  ::)

Nurse Jo Ann has to work and since we are not official "married" or "family" getting time off from PD is a real hassle.

My son will be driving me and he'll probably stay here for a few hours after coming home to make sure I'm OK.

The Metex meter is an ATEX explosion proof version so might just make that price.
The toolkit is for mil spec circular connnector assembly. I've got it's big brother that includes the crimp tools.
JVincent seems to be having a clear out.

I'd be surprised if a used ATEX/Ex type meter was acceptable to a business from an insurance point of view.

I see that Fluke 123 eventually theoretically sold for £370. If that sale was for real, then someone potentially got a real bargain.

Tomorrow is the big day. Surgery to repair the hernia. It's "same day" surgery so unless there are issues I should be back home late in the day. I'm really surprised it is considered same day since I'm going to have an invasive incision of probably 3 inches. So we'll see. Definitely going to be pain and discomfort. But hopefully not too bad. So while I'm anxious to get working on the Type 547 again I'm definitely not going to be able to jackass it around probably for a few weeks while I heal up.

Oh and that Type 555 on Albany CL is no longer listed. Apparently someone coughed up the $1K USD price.  :o

I have a 4" scar from abdominal day surgery. Technically it's two as they didn't get it right the first time and went back in about a year later but they cut through the existing scar line.  Day surgery with general anesthesia seems to be the norm for "minor" opertions these days.

@med - after hernia surgery definitely no tek 500 series work /play - I think they limit lifting to a few kilograms for some weeks. Maybe one of your longer burn ins (ducks for cover)
Seriously - hope it goes well. 👍
re recovery - do it once - do it properly - I recall hernias recurring is not uncommon.
Whoah! Watch where that landed we might need it later.

I had an appendectomy when I was 9 years old so I have a fairly large scar on my right side which just so happens where this hernia is located. I suspect the abdominal wall scarring has given way after these many years.

In better times ROAD TRIP  >:D With the collection of glass inside it I would think pickup a good idea regardless. Still very cheap even in that condition.

Same seller has an Interesting lot of Test gear with some up for delivery too https://www.ebay.com/sch/Business-Industrial/12576/m.html?item=402956962238&ViewItem=&_ssn=capitolcityloans

Wow I dream of one of these, but too rare here and always outragreously priced, like 500 Euros ./ 600 bucks !

This one is like 75/80 Euros, that's dirt cheap !   :scared:

Anyone can pick it up locally ? Then we can arrange for cheap / slow boat shipping afterward... if you can afford to store it at your home in the interim.

I know, day dreaming ! Never hurts....

Looks in fine condition to me. Dusty inside and leather handles need redoing like 99% of the time anyway.

Quick update to my Keithley Electrometer 616:

I need a cable for it, so I looked into the bay and found a Keithley 6011-10

I offered 140 US$ plus shipping and it got accepted.

Just in case somebody else needs such a cable, too.

I bought a Beckman Tech 310 around 1980.  Despite years of abuse it refuses to die or even drift.   To this day it reads 2.50V from a 2.5000V reference.

But is wasn't a bench meter and it is a mere 1999 count.  So I bought a Digimess DM200 from their eBay store.  This solid 4000 count meter is a rebranded Mastech.

Then I saw this cute little ZT102 for $10 shipped to the UK and it 6000 count.   Of course the CAT ratings are fake, but I've got the other two meters for that.

I bought this Aneng AN-888s because it is absurd.  Clock, temperature, and stereo speakers.

Good luck on your forth coming op and god speed your recovery but please please, do not attempt to lift or move anything heavier than bench meter until your medically cleared and even try and resist doing anything remotely as heavy as a bloody boat anchor and I don't give a dam if its got a TEK badge or even blue in colour, unless of course it's a nurses uniform of course, then that's OK  :-DD

I'd still trust the Beckman over all those others...

And obviously your major problem is, you don't have enough DMMs

Your ZT102 is also a re-badged Aneng. Probably an AN8008. The CAT rating may be overstated, but they're built a hell of a lot better than anything else in that price class (assuming it has the same guts as an Aneng).

Looking at that crossover frequency and the slope gives that it is only practical with an active filter, and 24dB / octave usually means Linkwitz-Riley.

Edit: TE Connection: Linkwitz and Riley worked at -hp-. Here's the paper.
