Hahahaha

I guess my question is... what recourse do you have if they side against you? Or are you saying the money & assache saved over PP makes it worth the risk of eating the occasional sale that goes pear-shaped?

This is the relevant argument. So the answer is firstly that there's no way for them to claw back cash out of an empty bank account. They have to fight you for it and that's not profitable. Secondly it's a tri-party agreement so you can play it in your favor. eBay pulls cash back via Adyen. If they have a problem tell them to talk to Adyen.

But I'm ok with losing 2% of transactions aggregate. So far it's 0.02% which is fine :)

I’m really surprised nobody did a picture a couple of pages ago for page 3585.  I’ll make up for it by doing two for page 3588 instead.

These aren’t specifically posed, just shots that were convenient to use that were already on my phone.  10 Hz to 150 MHz range on this machine which is why it was the first spectrum analyzer I bought.  Between this and the 3562A on the bench, I’ve hardly put any use on the 3580A but I want to play around with it some more this weekend.  I’m a bit concerned about that double peak I was getting when I did the picture for that page and I have a sinking feeling it’s either got a problem or I’m seriously not used to the driving controls on the front panel given how the 3588A is the machine I use the most often.

and VK5RC drop the OP a message maybe  :-+

See my passive/aggressive response.

LOL that was perfect!  :-DD

Sarky comment left.  :box:

No one seems to have noticed that the OP said "These pics are some stuff in his shed. There is more in his workshop". Or maybe they did and went straight round without telling anyone. I'd like to see the workshop.

Had a bit of time to leave a more sensible comment & identify some of the equipment.

As much as I have a soft spot for vacuum tube timer/counters with columnar displays, there's no way I'm taking that on at that price plus shipping for something in that rough condition that's missing parts.

Okay, I've bought them. Offer (350 Euro) has been accepted.

I'll reserve 5 units for you and if the captain is interested in one piece, I'll reserve him one as well.
I for myself will keep 5 units, the rest are for sale (max. 5 units per person).

Let me know, if someone is interested. :-)

Edit:
Will sell them for 15 Euro per unit, including shipping (EU + UK).
If someone from overseas is interested, let me check for the shipping. Down under shouldn't be a problem with the customs etc.

Edit 2:
ch_scr: 5 units
capt. bullshot: 3 units
BU508A: 5 units
syau: 5 units
kleiner Rainer: 2 units

6 units to go.

Edit: SEPA (banking wire transfer) and PayPal (payments for friends) are both possible.
Will inform you about the details once the IC's have been arrived and I had a closer look at them.
They'll ship from Munich to me.

The 26 AD587UQ arrived today. Here are some pictures of them.
The date code is 0322 and all are having a serial number on their backside.
Six units are still available (lower left corner).

Overview:

Detailed view, front and backside:

And for comparison, these are AD587UQ which I've bought @ Mouser:

I've packed the ICs with the mentioned serial numbers (0):
ch_scr: 76193, 84002, 83977, 84158, 84170
capt bullshot: 76160, 76171, 84248
syau: 84192, 84204, 84237, 84226, 84013
kleiner Rainer: 84046, 84079

available ICs: 83966, 83955, 84215, 84091, 84103, 84080

If someone is interested in some of the ICs, please let me know.
Conditions still apply:
- 15 Euro / unit
- no additional shipping costs in the EU + UK
- Overseas: will check the shipping costs. If it is not significantly more expensive than EU, then I'll send them out without additional costs for you.

(0)
Will send out a PM with the details and I will ask for your snail mail address. Thanks.  :)

gah. Not my favorite solution, to be sure; a combination of special shoulder screws & aluminum spacers from my quadcopter hardware, plus some cheap m2 flathead screws & zinc-plate washers... but it'll do until I can find the right ones or rob them from something else.  ::)

This is where cheap neodymium magnets from ebay come in handy. Unless the screws are titanium, stainless steel, brass, or aluminium, in which case you are... screwed...

For those who might wonder just exactly what's inside a CAD$1100 AiO water-cooled GPU... I popped the cover off to clean off a little dust from the inside of that window there, so I snapped a couple pics while I was in it. ;)

Pretty much exactly what you suspected; a little brick pump, some copper heat-sink, and some heat-pipes over to the VRM in the ~300 watt range, gauging by the dual 8-pin power header.

Back when men were men a quick lambs scrotum nick with a razor sharp pocket knife then bite the mountain oyster out and spit them into a bucket to be later threaded onto a a piece of fence wire and roasted over a flame.

Yummy I believe but never tried them.
