I picked these up today in the second last day of in person shopping before the government mandated return to March, 2020 takes effect.  I needed some miscellaneous cables and the store had these kits so I thought, why not, I’ve been needing some utility amps on the bench so these should be fun to put together and measure out.

Got an additional text from the Lady last night. Three words...."my head hurts" and a pix of her head bandaged up. I assume she got stitches to close the head wound. That's it, she didn't want to talk more but I'm sure we'll talk later today.

Tranquil christmas.

Last payments (salary and injury pension) in. Will use these days to do my taxes.
And flipped another stereo set yesterday (Denon RCD-100, Denon 595 autoreverse tape deck, Quadral Tribun Mk IV 270€ plus 80€ for dropping it off at buyer's place).

Only 3 more stereo sets to get rid off ...  :palm:

Honestly, need to get stuff out. Next year will be consolidation year, I'll be trying to shut down my storage facility ...

I concur, 2020 is a crap year which should be struck from the calendar.
In ancient times we sacrificed our leaders to appease the gods. I think we should reestablish this custom.

Disagree. If I were I god, I would take deadly revenge if the unworthy earthlings try to serve me a Trump-quality polititian as a dinner.  >:D |O >:D

oh cum on, compared to our current Junta Trump at least tried to do what he thought was best for his country.

If I were god (and if I believed in him) I would force Merkel and her gang to go to hell and eat with hammer and sickle. I am sure you are aware that as of 2007 there was a study regarding a SARS outbreak in Europe requested by the Bundestag. It was read and locked away as nobody wanted to admit that they were totally unprepared and incapable of handling such an outbreak. In the mean time they did nothing. Except give government POs to the wife of one of Germany's leading politicians ...

We have the same coalition as back in 2007. We also have the same chancellor. And we could call it criminal neglect resulting in the death of ten thousands. Pierrepoint would have rejoiced at the opportunities he had if politicians were held accountable for their neglect and the "I just followed orders".

The picture you paint is very similar to what our government did, handing out PO's to wives, friends and donors, many of whom have never ran a business before and many have failed to deliver anything at all against their PO's  :wtf:

Just got off the phone with the Lady. She's doing OK. Several stitches to close the wound. No concussion or other injury. She's in pain but not to the level she thought it would be. All good news.

She's even thinking about coming up here for a few days rather than me going down there. I'm all for it. She can come here, relax, and fall asleep watching East Enders.  :-DD

I "accidentally" bought a Philips PM 3335 yesterday, cheap as chips but expensive shipping, hopefully it bodes well for a safe arrival!

I thought it was just the Christmas "spirits" (wine, rum, whisky, etc), but I've just asked someone who's sober and they've confirmed that your Dragon comics are definitely blurred today.

The yellow-red DHL Santa did a marvellous job.  ;D

He brought me this:

The Hameg HZ 530 EMV probe kit, the Hameg HZ 22 (50R / 2W) resistor, 2 LED christmas tree kits, DeoxIT G5 and D100, some spaceships from the Shadows from Babylon 5, some DC-DC converters ...

And this is for you, especially for the german speaking viewers here.  :-DD
The lyrics are from a famous german christmas charol (Leise rieselt der Schnee - Snow falls softly at night for the english version)

https://youtu.be/xYaJlQBYJUQ

Merry Christmas, Happy Hollidays, have a good time, stay healthy, see you soon here again. :)

WARNING: Political SoapBox Time

Saskia... do you really believe that?

Setting aside the fact he's an actual, honest-to-whatever-god-you-may-believe-in confirmed KGB asset... The actual Manchurian Candidate; Herr Drumphh is literally nothing more than a small-time lowlife gangster who inherited his father's criminal empire and ran it into the ground. He is a pathological liar, misogynist, racist, rapist, career felon who has turned multimillion-dollar Conspiracy to Commit Fraud into a lifestyle. He owes every one of his "family" connections more than he's worth; if he hadn't fallen into the position of being installed into the Presidency against the will of the American People, those whom he owes would literally have gutted him like a fish.

The only thing that saved his worthless sack of shit ass is the fact that the overweening corruption of the GOP-owned Congress has grown so brazen that they needed a flaming sack of shit the size of The Oval Office to distract the attention of the marching morons from them as they systematically dismantle The Constitution and steal everything that Bush & Cheney missed.

His job was never to be President; it was to be as audaciously, conspicuously villainous as possible. They literally couldn't have stayed in power with anyone less despicable in the White House; their own villainy has become so obvious.

When pressed about the obvious gerrymandering and voter suppression being openly engaged within GOP-held states, he openly stated in public (because he can't keep his damn fool mouth shut) that if they didn't, not a single Republican would ever be elected again. Let that sink in for a second.

He's the burning bag of dogshit these thieves put on the front porch so that while we're busy stamping it out, they can lock us all out of the house and steal EVERYTHING.

And it is still working.

He is the symptom, not the disease. THAT is what I ran away from... because it is only going to get worse with the Supreme Court he filled full of known corporate lobbyists. Every appointee he placed in the American Government was done so as the command of his owners to destroy any remaining opposition bureaucracy which might actually work for the American people instead of helping him and his cronies loot the place.

This has all happened before; a century ago almost to the day. I doubt the USA will be lucky enough to have another FDR emerge just in the nick of time to save them, tho.

And this is all fact, not opinion. History will look down on these years as The Dark Ages of the American Empire, with the same dismay as we do the preceding Dark Ages of all of Europe and Britain. If the human race survives long enough for there to be such history written.
