I have to agree. Looks like med was trying to out-booty his previous booty fab.  >:D

...The fan is irritating I will add. It's not the fan but the stupidly designed grille on the side.

Welp... figured out why it's a oil-leaking bitch. This bolt hole in the blower shroud  is no more, which means the oil-filler tube is not held tight against the rubber seal in the crankcase. Yes, I have a donor unit... but the shroud looks like it got pooped on by a grease monster and of course, the shroud is where they put the dataplate, so engine model #, displacement, DOM etc are all wrong.

*sigh*

Well fuck it. My 90 year old neighbour has decided to turn the TV up to 11 this evening to the point I can’t actually hear my own one or my own thoughts.

Audio revenge is being sought on YouTube at the moment. Going to stick the BT speaker I have up the fucking chimney. It sounds like ass but it’s louder than a loud thing from planet deaf so it’ll either flush a couple of dead pigeons into her fire place or knock her ornaments off the fire.

I don't always listen to Led Zeppelin, but when I do, the neighbours do too!

Time for Mothership.
Confirmed Tektronix Addict, currently have in use a 556, RM556, 547, 545, three 575 Mod122C curve tracers, two Type 130 LC meters, 75A Power Test Set, Engineering Power Supply, 561A, 564B, 565, 7904, 422, 435 RM503, RM504, RM181, Type 184, two Type 114, 067-0502-01 Calibration Fixture, and plugins

Not loud enough - she’s deaf  :-DD. Two minute of “Lost highway 45” by “imminent starvation” did the trick.

Now chilling out to some DCD https://youtu.be/wAnPvpAiELo

I'd be ripping those mutant ears off it right away...

Those ears allow you to stand it on either end while making connections without it toppling over. Should other gears from the same brand be stacked they all interlock to each other.

bd, enjoy the thing  ;) just sold my 6022X as a customer badly needed one and I only had that demo unit so now the 5 week wait for another to arrive.

Yes they're staying on.

Enjoying already. Just found it does DSB modulation as well. Winner!  :-+

I cut those idiotic ears off my SDM 3055.  :--

So ... you finally admit that you do a little bit more than painting those poor TE in blue. You also chop some parts off ? this is torture, no more pictures please. I don't want to see the one you’re hiding in your basement.

I was going to mention a strong sense of déjà vu with Med's Mechanical Mayhem - but if this is where the conversation is heading, I think I'll go and clean up my garage....

Any one have any idea what kind of HV plug type needed for the big white HV terminal ? Is that proprietary ?

The leads for your tester are probably these, hopefully you will be able to find something to fit.

David

David, thanks.  :-+

That white plug, looks like a mutant banana to me, as it has non standard long body.  ::)
