As far as meters go, I guess I am a piker here.  2 HP 3478's, 2 HP 3466's modded with shielded plugs, GW Instek GDM 8251A, Fluke 27 F/M, ANENG 8008 and 8009 and a Fluke 101 in my toolbag in the company van.  Only 9--I feel so inadequate :palm:. :'(   I did give my Velleman handheld to my son-in-law, he needed one.

To answer the question posed by Cerebus, yes, all of my fingers and toes and some of yours as well, do you think I have a problem  :palm:
Bench DMM’s
1905a, 7150+, 7150+, 8842A, 8840A, 4503 and 3466A
Bench Analogues
Avo8, Avo8, Avo8, Kyoritsu 1400, TMK700
Handheld DMM’s
Proster VC97, Fluke 27, Fluke 27, Fluke 25, ITT MX52,  UT210E, Robin OM840, Extech 530, Bside ADM08A, Bside ADM08A, BM867, Amprobe KMP7036 and Iso-Tech LCR 1705
Handheld Analogues
Robin 2608,  Kew 1503, TMK500

Sigh, why do I read this thread. I thought I would be safe in this group, just after I convinced myself I dont have a problem…

Specmaster gave me hope that he had more meters than me, but the list abruptly ended.

And theres a Keithley 130A shipping as we speak dammit…

PS: Shit and a HP E2377A, when did I buy that one……………    :-[

PPS: Ah shit a low offer on a HP3478 just got accepted also, like I need another 3478… FFS :palm:

PPPS: Dont start me on scopes, but I have seen people with more than me, I think Im safe there.

Does this count as TEA?

Somehow I accumulated far too many scopes.

This is the antithesis of TEA.   :o

PS: If anyone is interested in any of them, let me know.

This is how TEA is done:

I want ALL of them. How much?!?

Watching, but there's 18 bids in already, so I doubt it will be a bargain in 7 hours.
McBryce.

18 would be okay, the real problem is now the TEA platoon knows about it.

Guess what...  ;D

That's a nice collection of modern scopes.  For me to show off that many, it would be 3 toy scopes, quite a few analog ones, and even one that is a tube scope with no trigger :P.

Having a test equipment addiction is difficult when you don't have a lot of room.  The solution, only collect small adorable test equipment.

Looking for a tek 1401 / 1401A, if you have one message me

A few days ago there was this article in "Stiftung Warentest". Perhaps you should confront the seller with this and open a case with ebay.

The probe was located in Vienna, Austria. Austrian courts do not necessarily recognize the authority of the German Bundesgerichtshof.
Zucca would need an Austrian lawyer to pursue this. This might not be worth the hassle and the associated risk.

A US seller did the same to me and on a current probe too. When I contacted him with a mates address in the US that was to on ship it to me the mongrel cancelled the sale.  :wtf:

Apparently they are within their rights to do so which leaves a sour taste in my mouth as far as eBay is concerned.  :--

I've still got a bit to go on my collection.

  • Desktop:
    Marconi TF1140 VTVM, -hp- 427, -hp- 3438A, Avometer 8
  • Handhelds:
    -hp- 974A, Fluke 8060, Fluke 10, ABB-branded MetraHit 16, Hartmann & Braun Elavi 3, Fluke 123 Scopemeter

The 974A and the Scopemeter see the most usage.

You definitely need something like a Fluke 8300A or Solartron 7075 to heat the room up a bit then   :-DD

Sounds like they didn't like the "low" finishing price, and were too stingy to pay the extra fees for a reserve price.

Handheld Analogues
Robin 2608,  Kew 1503, TMK500

I missed the question, I just can't read every post anymore (there's life beyond TEA). Is this a survey or a pissing contest?  ;)

Following Spec's example:

Bench DMMs
--------------
3 Fluke 45
9 Fluke 8050A
4 HP 34401A
2 HP 3456A
1 HP 3458A
3 HP 3478A
1 Solartron A200 (OK, not really a DMM, just a DVM)
3 Solartron 7045
2 Solartron 7050
1 Solartron 7051
1 Solartron 7060
1 Solartron 7061
1 Solartron 7140
5 Solartron 7150
1 Siemens B1041
2 Prema 5000
1 Kontron DMM4021
2 Nordmende DIVO3362
1 Data Precision 2480
3 Data Precision 2480R
1 Data Precision 3500
1 Philips PM2421
2 Philips PM2521

Bench Analogues
-------------------
1 AEG "Drehspulinstrument Klasse 0,2"
2 Klein & Hummel RV12
1 Philips PM2454 (also no Multimeter)

Handheld DMMs
------------------
2 Fluke 8060A
2 Fluke 8062A
2 Fluke 8040A (not really handheld anymore without the batteries)
1 Voltcraft DVC404
1 Voltcraft M-3650D
1 Voltcraft M3890T USB
1 Mastech MS8229
2 Hitachi VR-3525

Handheld Analogues
-----------------------
1 Hartmann & Braun Multavi 5
2 that are buried somewhere and I can't be arsed to look for them right now

Alas, quite a few of those instruments are knackered.

I don't know what problem Spec is talking about, I only see one problem with my list: My collection is awfully weak when it comes to handhelds. :palm:
But then, I'm more of a bench fan: They usually stack better. ^-^

So I found this amplifier alike box at some other departments scrap box, free for take away:
**snip**

Dude, if you're so desperate for stuff to tinker with, I got **stuff** for you...

What kind of stuff  ::)

Prrff.. in essence, pick your poisson. Pick a category and I have something that needs repair. But... what about a Datron 1071? I actually have a series of these that seem to work fine but all throw selftest errors. They all have depleted batteries in common but simply replacing them does not work. So, my working theory is that it needs at least halfway right correction parameters to pass selftests. And that's how far I got.

My U1252B bought it. Which sets me in the most peculiar of situations: I have no second handheld DMM. How the hell did I end up in this situation?? I clearly have not been buying enough TEA...  :wtf:

What happened to the U1252B if I may ask?

Current measurent didn't work. So, I obviously took a new fuse, took the whole thing apart (because forget about easy access fuses) and tried again. No dice. Checked the fuse that was in it to begin with: fine too. Opened it up again: no signs of damage. Put it back togeter: goes completely nuts. I think I may have put the dial in wrong, so I can probably get it to work again but I'm afraid I can forget about measuring current.
