Just opened todays post, Multimeter count is now 27 (28, I forgot the Fluke ScopeMeter, 29 if an HP LogicDart counts)
The HP E2373A has turned up. :-DMM
Very nice actually. Very clear, large LCD (couple of tiny marks on window). Quite lightweight, not a Fluke 25/27 hammer :)
No battery corrrosion. Calibration is spot on, 1 count low on both 10 V and 1 k from a quick check on a couple of standards.

Looks like it was made by Escort rather than HP.

Watching, but there's 18 bids in already, so I doubt it will be a bargain in 7 hours.
McBryce.

18 would be okay, the real problem is now the TEA platoon knows about it.

Guess what...  ;D

They are excellent speakers for small to medium rooms. And not too expensive. Do you need some amplifiers to go with them ?

I'll include the famous apple.

Well, until they started using this horrible plastic stuff it did. Most proper paper money is made with linen (flax) fibres, cotton, or a mixture of the two.
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

More circuit fun. Curve tracer - part 2 ....

Drafted a step generator earlier and it worked. There's a 74LS90 that counts the incoming pulses from the function generator described the other day. This is used with a simple summing amplifier to get a step voltage. The output of the summing amplifier is going to provide the input for the "programmable VCCS" which I will build next. To get step count control, there is an LM311 comparator which is compares the output with the voltage and resets the counter. Nothing fancy but it works pretty well. I've sped up the master oscillator so it's actually easy to see and record.

Circuit (jelly beans only!)

Implementation:

Video:

I've also drafted the voltage sources for it as well. I couldn't be fucked to design an HV switch mode converter so it'll use a 18-0-18 transformer as the primary dual rail 15v supply. A 24-0-24 will be hooked back to back with the primary used as 0-90-180 tapped output and I'll tap switch based on the voltage demand provided to the HV module using a couple of comparators, relays and regular television BJT (BU508A - can I borrow you?). This should give a regulated 0-200v supply approx which I can sweep fairly quickly

I've got GAS. I don't need another counter to add to the HP 5470B & 2x 5316A, Marconi 2442 (26.5GHz), Philips PM6654 & PM6661 plus a couple of vintage units, But.....
A perfect looking HP 5335A with option C 1.2GHz input for £74.99 Buy It Now. How could I resist?

So we are re-listing our multimeters now?

riiight.

Lab/Desk Prema 6001, HP3478A, Schlumberger 7151, Schlumberger 7045

Portable/Field/handheld
Tektronix THM565, THM560, DMM150
Metrawatt M2036, MetraMax12, UNIGOR 6e/A41/A43/3p, Metravo 4E/4H/4S/4D, Metravo Electronic, Metravo3, Metratest3
Gossen MAVO30, Amprobe 37XR-A
Siemens Multizet A1000, A1001, B1010, Multizet T, Multizet eff, VMG1
ITT Metrix MX1200S (1000A RMS AC/DC clamp Multimeter)
Fluke 87, 27/FM, 79-III, 12, 8062A
HP E2377A
H&B Elavi5n, Elavi5, Multavi6, Elavi15n
Beckmann DM25XL , Beckmann 3020, Simpson 467 (PSM45),
Yokogawa Model 2441
SOAR 3100, ICE Microtest80, Wavetek DM78
Th. Steinfurth TH-1000 (Ex-i Multimeter)

Modular Multimeters:
2x Neuberger PKD-4 with 12 measurement modules

Multimeter Modules:
Tektronix DM501A, DM501?

The Miller USM223 is out of action now, as the batteries are not procurable

Not really a multimeter, but close and named like one:
Tektronix DMM353 (component checker)
One could argue about the H&B Elaviscript2, which was officially designated as 'schreibendes Vielfach-Messgeraet' (recording Multimeter), but could be seen as a compact recorder. If that is a multimeter, the YEW3087 recorder might claim to be a multimeter too. :horse:
But defilitely not listing the AC VOMs, memory voltmeters, Meggers and PEA testers

phew. :phew:

Does this count as TEA?

Somehow I accumulated far too many scopes.

PS: If anyone is interested in any of them, let me know.

PS2: Yup, R&S is screen THAT reflective

There is NO such thing as "too many scopes"!
Next time somebody else comes around the corner and is complaining about "too many meters"!   :o

I see only eleven - is there another layer underneath that's hidden from view?  :P  :P

If not, you're at least nine short.  Twenty is considered a good baseline here in these parts.   ;)
