Crap I completely failed at setting a group bid correctly in Gixen.

Was first bidding on some unobtanium power sensor cables and then a lot for the power sensors. So I ended up loosing for the cables but then Gixen still bidded and won the lot for the probes  :palm:

I Just received the power sensors I scored on ebay recently. I need to finish testing but everything seems to be in working order. Got enough power meter probes now :-DD I also needed some SMA attenuators, it seems I'm all set on that front too ;D Will probably try to sell some. The attenuators on the left are Weinschel 18Ghz, on the right Narda 3Ghz.

So TEA, it brings a tear to one's eyes.  :'( ^-^

Hot damn!! Say if you want to part with any of those surplus of 18 GHz pads, I'm interested.

Dear TEA fellows,

today I'd like to introduce the Rohde & Schwarz UGZ BN 1100 voltmeter.
...

Wow, that's a mighty wild meter. I've never seen a projection display like that. A very cool find, even if it couldn't measure anything anymore.

I have a Boonton 4200 and 4300 with Calibrator. So I can use all the Boonton sensors. I might try to find a meter for the gigatronics and the Anritsu is going back on ebay.
Might that be the Anritsu sensor which fits on the Sitemaster251?

Look like it. Damn NS, you're good!

From the SiteMaster S251 specsheet:

Score! Most SiteMaster listings I've seen don't have any accessories.

Amazing that the 7-segment displays in your '65 and '45 are still working.

In my '45 the segments gradually winked out one by one. I ended up having to replace all the display modules before the calculator reached its 5th birthday.

I'm the second owner of the HP-65...the prior owner bought it new and maintained it as-new. I have all the papers, accessories, and box. The only thing it needed was the gummy wheel fix, which was accomplished successfully. The 45 is a similar circumstance, except the prior owner is a close family member who gave it to me.

That's too bad about yours...maybe defective modules?

I have a 65 in the repair queue here. What approach did you take to fixing the gummy wheel (and shaft coupling, presumably)?

Max

Is this the beginning of the "TEA Rules of Acquisition" or an extension of the "10 11 Laws of TEA (and counting)"?

What say y'all?

Splitting into laws and rules is clumsy. Just add a 12th.
BTW what happen if someone break some TEA laws? We need to define also the punishments  :-//

Let us know if /when you put the Anritsu sensor on ebay. I have a 331B SiteMaster so might have a punt.

Muppet Alarm for HERMES possibly UK.

SWMBO bought two stupid rings (value < 50Euro) from an online Jewellery in UK. Of course we need to return them and I shipped them back with Hermes DE to UK.
Today the box came back with no rings inside, I feel even more stupid I signed the return without complaining there was nothing inside.
I should have sign nothing.

Should I file a complain? Or it is pointless?

Almost sure it is HERMES UK according to the tracking history, but who knows?

This one's especially for @nixiefreqq (and all other RPN haterz)  :-DD

 >:D >:D >:D

HP-50g, HP-35S, HP-65, HP-45, HP-15C (one of the two I own), HP-16C (again one of two). Soon to be joined by an HP-48G and an HP-12C. $60 for both, so I couldn't say no.  :-DD

nixie, in my defense, the HP-50g and the HP-35s will both work as algebraic calculators. Not that I ever do that.

 >:D

always thought they looked fantastic.

and the tactile feel and feedback was just intoxicating.

BUT their behavior was intolerable.

(no.....am not talking about redheads..........well maybe them too.)

Reject the goods under distance selling regulations and send the empty box back. It's plausibly deniable. If seller puts it on that and ships it Hermes it's as much their idiocy as anything else.

it was 1964.

my mom gave us each a quarter for the ticket and a dime for candy and dropped us in front of the theater.

it was my first time ever going to the movies.

"godzilla vs the thing" was the feature.

was 9 years old and after seeing that flick i decided that my life had peaked and it was all gonna' be down hill from there on.

Yes of course complain or otherwise the bastard is being allowed to get away with it. I presume the box was open and you had your address as the sender on the box? So the question is, was the box open when you received it? If so you should have signed the paperwork as open box. But what ever, it's always worth filing a complaint. Certainly never ever write a description on a customs form / address label that might suggest that the item has some value, use something like gift or parts etc.

Never buy the cheapest chinesium, unless it is for explosion investigation purposes

Interesting: https://www.tinysa.org/wiki/

Too bad it's another tiny touchscreen I can't see anymore. Yes, I know it can be connected to a PC; so can the NanoVNA or my Hantek 6022BL. Which is now stashed away in its case in the back of a drawer, probably never to see the light of day again until I Goodwill or eBay it.  :palm:

Well... there IS a chance it will get used as a LA... whatevs.  ::) Point is... why do they always design around the absolute cheapest POS postage-stamp-sized screen, which usually comes with some weird implementation of whatever interface it uses and/or weird configuration of software libraries,  when 4" and even larger are SO damned cheap...?  |O

FFS, design around a screen so the interface & libraries support the broadest range of screens/digitizers so people can buy the screen they need and just plug it in, dammit.  >:(
