And now for something completely different:  stripper!

The blades are heavily used and worn out. Maybe I'll find one day a good replacement for them.

Nope. I suggest not starting drinking because that’s what (a) causes the shameful things, (b) erases the ability to feel shame and (c) makes you look back fondly at the shameful things and wonder how the fuck life got so dull since and (d) wonders if the mid life crisis should involve drinking again to see what shameful situations you can find myself in again.  8)

nah the problem is that you didn't drink enough. Normally you should not remember anything. Work great for me. No shame, no guilt, nothing, I don't remember anything.

I suspect she'll be long dead in 35 years, and probably won't look very good at that point...

I suspect the death certificates of 30+% of us will probably read "Beaten to death by a long suffering partner with the large heavy item of test equipment that 'broke the camel's back'".
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

I should train myself not to check using bid now how high an auction will go ...

Won a threshold preamp, albeit not the one I originally wanted.

Should be good as a spare amp in case one of my current ones needs restoration.

After some money burned, I use now only Gixen.
Anyway I always find new way to trash my hard worked salary out of the window. Resistence is futile.

EDIT: I just love this trump gif...

Can you not find what you need in spotify? Sorry for the stupid question, it is more curiosity driven.. yes I am a cat.

I have a so old Spotify account that it predates their offical launch, which has everything to do with having one of the very early developers over for dinner one evening. In those days, you could tell by the song titles from which "release group" they had their files (which is not a problem in Sweden, as long as you pay the fees when it is streamed).

Thus, I've seen what happens when people have a beef with the distribution channels over various issues, mostly money. (The Taylor Swift brouhahaha is particularly well known, but I was more concerned with the Zappa case) If you want to be certain that music that is important to you is going to be available to you, nothing beats a local library.

Also, while the encoding of Spotify is quite good, there are always improvements to be had in quality.

I'd suggest going to NPR for their sound quality test and assess your quality needs, in a soul-searching way, afterwards. If you can tell which is which, "congratulations", you need a bigger hard drive and better sound system. If not, well, go buy a Boom Box off the Dwagon. Collect, before the end of month ;-)

Can't speak for Saskia, but I wouldn't touch spotify or similar with a barge-pole. Not for sound quality, money or similar reason, but for freedom reason. Any music I have on my own server (and devices) I'm free to listen to when or where I want to, and nobody knows when or what I listen to. Digitizing ones CD collection is a way to make it more convenient to access it.

Safety devices hinder evolution
