(which becomes PostMord in Sweden)

Seriously, it is actually called PostMord?    LOL...  :palm:

Oh my, phonetically that translates very poorly, yet probably accurately (or is it actually supposed to be an N?...)   :-DD

+1, Sweden, +1...   :)

No, it is "PostNord" (what happens when you join the Swedish and Danish Royal Mail authorities and mismanage them as one company) but their habit of being about the worst of all parcel carriers in Sweden has earned them that name, especially so since they used to be a very significant part of the communication between Government and People; they were trusted, ran a bank, were very dependable, and had offices everywhere. Now, a post office is nowhere to be found, except "service centers" in industrial areas. They instead hand out registered mail and packages via representatives that usually are supermarkets, which nowadays works quite well.

Digging out an old project again. I’m sorting out the scope screensaver again ie the bouncing ball:

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/test-equipment-anonymous-(tea)-group-therapy-thread/msg1931791/#msg1931791

Have redesigned it with better play field constraints, much less crap triangle generators, it now works off a couple of 9v batteries rather than 15v supplies  and has a quadrature oscillator that doesn’t require as much feedback futzing. I will build a prototype at the weekend. If it works I will do a PCB for this one.

I’m designing out some of the complexity at the same time so it will need only a few resistor values, lm358 opamps and some film caps, a couple of signal diodes and nothing else. Cheap and easy.  Should be able to throw it together for less than $15 including PCB

LT1097CN8:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310769062346

Edit:
On the other hand, I have here a lot of MC1741U from Motorola Korea in this nice ceramic DIP.
Do you think they will work as well?

Edit 2:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/96-Stk-Motorola-MC1741U-Korea-KKCQ-403-C-Dip-Antistatic/164151606111

Got them for 140,- Euro, so there is room for negotiations. :)

Those are too expensive and to be honest way too good opamps for this job.

Edit: annoyed. Got a lot of shit to sell and eBay have switched their deal to 5% max sellers fees rather than £1 max seller fees for me. That means I am getting screwed on high value items  :--. Might not sell anything this time and see what happens in 2 weeks.

Wait until the next bank holiday; that seems to be when the £1max occurs.

Sell in May and go away; come back in September.

Makes sense. Also captive and desperate audience to gouge at the moment

Edit: actually I think it's more complicated than that. Someone at work has the £1 listing offer and has sent it to me and it's "invite only" apparently according to the large red error I get activating it. Perhaps I screwed them out of too much profit this year  :-DD

Gee, look at this. They even come in Tek blue.  :-+ But the prices are on the ridiculous side. Come on.....$30 for a t-shirt?  ::)

I think I'll pass.

I suspect it is simpler than that. If you have merely taken up the £1 offer, they will try to get you to take up a less attractive offer.

I've just had my second 5% offer, which I will again ignore.

I think embossing a skivvy would be illegal, nowadays :)

I'll test this (not done yet) but this was recommended for my ultrasonic cleaner. So I ordered one bottle.

Goodie box from Sphere came today...pics later. I got a really pristine Tek 191, the transistors I need to repair my second HP 3444A plugin, and the usual Sphere bag of extra goodies. :D

And here it is. The 191 works great. Recently calibrated, and looks exceptionally clean outside and in.

Here's my three. One of these days I suppose I'll spring for a Type 184. But after reading the frustrations You and Worsthorse had with the high frequency circuits I'm not sure I want that aggravation.  :-//

Here's the difference between repaint (2 left) and original. Next to each other you can tell the difference. Apart you'd be hard pressed to know it's not original.

This corona thing has people selling gear like it's on fire, and no-one buying.... Good for me!

Latest score just this moment, for 15000yen (US$140-ish), and looks pretty clean.

I'm having a bit of a feeding frenzy at the moment, all the Tek TM500 modules are popping up recently. Got my eye on a few others ending this weekend.

I've got that oscillator too. It's a really smooth device, and its tone is very, very good, plus I like that it's got a balanced output.  In the same frame it is paired to a very sick distorsion analyser, an AA501A, but I'm suspecting its no more than aging pains.

What's the trick to get a module out of the frame if the handle is broken?

Edit: Found this thread and subsequently ordered a cable...

Yep, practically all the old gear I buy online is from there. A little is bought in Akihabara but mostly Yahoo! Auctions.

Oh cool, good to hear I picked a good one. :D
I'm not sure about removing modules with broken tabs, Maybe a bit of superglue on a toothpick to adhere to the broken stub to pull on the mechanism might get it free.
A little inward pressure while pulling the tab to reduce the force on the mechanism might help to release it too.

I'm currently designing my own plugin extender harness. Teaser pics below.
I didn't like the other designs I've seen where you have to reach into the enclosure to plug in, so I made the card larger with a handle shape for ease of use. It'll also get 3D printed guides attached to allow it to slide on the rails and align perfectly and easily.

Well what do you know  :-DD, I have the £1 listing invitation for the next 4 days and the reason why I got and some of you didn't, I believe is because they have made the same offer to me many times lately and although have always accepted it, have failed miserably to list anything whereas you have managed it so it must be a profit related thingy.  You cost them loss of profits whereas if I sell something this time around, they make profit from me  :-DD :-DD :-DD Here I come.
