It took some real careful and intense twiddling with the diddle stick but it's calibrated.  :-/O :-+

Also, unknown at this time whether I will be in discord this afternoon. Depends on how long some errands take. If I join, it will be later.

I'll be on and I'll have plenty of popcorn.  :-DD

I ignored the popcorn, and went for duck with cherry sauce and a Chateau de Melin 2017. (Hautes Côtes de Beaune) I'm OK now. How are everybody else?

TEA: I went to check my DI boxes, and they look similar. The working one and the allegedly broken one. I Think! that it might have been some junk in the pad switch. OTOH, it runs just nicely with 1V RMS in, unpadded, so I think I'll not bother too much.

I find myself, through no fault of my own, with a partner who actively encourages my RF and TE obsessions, including the backpacking/wilderness sub-category of the former. I do the same for her, so in addition to the shelves of gear and parts in the furnace room, there is a storage room filled with ikebana containers, dried flowers, and cooly weird tools for working with flowers.

I do think I get the better end of the deal as her hobby fills our home with beautiful flower arrangements while mine results in weird burning smells, loud bursts of static, and unsightly overhead wires in our side yard.   ;D

You and me both. Enabler, Mark 1 Mod 3, also known as my wife, is very supportive of my ideosynchrasies including the TE obsession. And I'm helping her with various rabbit holes she's got a tendency to topple into, like silversmithing. I'm the happiest nerd in the world.

You're all just jealous 'cause you can't lick you own balls !  :P

Humans invented money so they can pay someone else to lick our balls.

You don't need money for that, just some beef gravy and a dog. I've always been a bit suspicious of "dog people"....
Oh  FFS Cats lick their arse, that is part of the reason why a cat bite is worse than a dog bite from a bacterial point of view.

The issue is not that they lick their arse but they do it on the kitchen counters and the dining room table.  Of course, now that they no longer live in my house, I have thought of revenge.  Rub their dry food on my sweaty nutsack after a couple of hours in the hot garage.  Now enjoy a little wang in your dinner.  Every time they would break something of Mrs GreyWoolfe by knocking it on the floor, I would threaten the stepdaughter to take her furballs and make cat gow mein out of them.  She thought I was kidding.

No, I don't need money, beef gravy or a dog, though I have 2.  We just have to remember to lock the dogs out of the bedroom.  We left them in the bedroom once and they both jumped on the bed thinking she was trying to kill me. >:D

unsightly overhead wires in our side yard.   ;D

You are obviously not using the proper colored insulation to make them fade into the background. :-DD  When I had my 80M full wave loop around the entire property, even Mrs GreyWoolfe forgot about it after a while.  Unfortunately, the loop came down when we ended up having to have 3 trees removed before last years' hurricane season due to disease, 2 of them were corner anchor points and the 3rd gave some really good height to one of the long legs.  I guess I am in a low point right now, don't really miss being on the air.

"Heaven has been described as the place that once you get there all the dogs you ever loved run up to greet you."

Ok. I'm in NO NEED of help. I'm just right. At the right place.

And, I just happened to pay only a little bit too much for a 8060 in reasonable condition. Got a "you looked at this, mate, here's a nice price for you" offer, that expired, counteroffered 60% of the offer on the original listing , and got a reasonably good counter-counter-offer that I accepted.

And, as I wrote upthread, the side-push-button Flukes have place in my TE pre-history. Gotta fill that hole.

And, to make a travesty of Kate Bush;
