453 is nice. I’ve owned two. First one the cat pissed in and blew it up. I didn’t know enough to deal with it then so I gave it to someone (years ago).

Hope the new owner managed to train the cat not to piss in TE...

Well, I went and did it again. +1 to the pile of things to sit on the pile of junk to be looked at eventually. Paid about $85 or so, dunno if that was too much?
(Crappy photo from the listing, I just won it a couple hours ago)

I buy this crap faster than I can work on it, but to tell the truth, I don't really mind this problem.  ;D
Where does all this test equipment keep coming from?!?

Yeah sodding shitty PHP bollocks forum software is drunk.

There's only one comment I can make: Go read the true dissection of PHP. It's 8 years old, and still the best description of PHP I've come across.

Very amusing, much like the C++ FQA: http://yosefk.com/c++fqa/

Naturally the C++ zealots claim C++ is much better now. Given the history, I expect that means old "infelicities" have been replaced by new ones. God help you if you forget which infelicities are "available" in which versions of the language and tool implementations and compiler flags.

One of the many reasons. It was bought as a mouser. All it did was wet the mice and observe me chasing the things round with a metal ruler. It also attacked my eldest out of the blue.

Honestly I don’t know why people like the things other than via toxoplasma Gondi infection.

Nah, you've more chance of winning the lottery than getting an toxoplasma Gondi infection. You only need to keep their dirt tray clean and regularly disinfect it. I've got 2 cats now and have had 6 so far in my life with no problems.

Or just not have cats. No turds, no hair, no vet bills, no scratched up shit, no arse licking show, no fur balls, no extra mouth to feed.

Only because you feed them. If that stopped they’d eat your corpse or find someone better.

You win the internet today. Damn good point. And while they may cost you a few dollars at least they won't run off with all of it.

Wish I could have a cat.  :-DD

And with this page, Schlock Mercenary draws to a close. Howard Tayler has produced this iconic webcomic since my wife and I were courting; updating every day without fail for just a hair over twenty years.
