Been doing the caulking in the bathroom so I’m equally miserable.
Last time I had a blocked drain I was rodding it and the end came off inside the drain ffs. Took me three hours to get it out of the drain.
That's why I got one with an "inline" end, but it's not doing it for me. That some genius constructed this house with right angle drains in concrete floors so you can't get other tools in properly isn't helping either.

Dyno rod are crap. When my mother's 1840 house had a blockage, the first idiot was equipped to clear sink traps. The second was cleared to use rotovators, but there were none available. The third was equipped, but failed.
Called local company MAD (Maintain-A-Drain), who fixed it first time, once they got round the right angle bend.
