Do we have here some Tektronix fans?    ;D
Just spotted in the German "ebay Kleinanzeigen" (no affiliations with the sellers):

A very nice Tek 7623A with 6 modules for 210.- EUR
https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/s-anzeige/speicher-oszilloskop-tektronix-7623a-plus-einschuebe/1440866205-168-2137

It comes with these modules:

  • 3x 7A18
  • 3x 7B53A

And one of these could be handy:
Some Tek scope carts, 50.- EUR.

You should notify Martin. BTW, has anyone seen him lately?

I have not heard from him in some time. I have a 7k plugin that I picked up for him at his request at my local surplus joint ages ago and right about then he went radio silent.  :-//

Been fighting clogged drains all weekend. The drains are winning. I've opened 'r up a few times and all looks well and within 30 minutes it's back to a slow trickle again. May be some nasty gooey stuff which reseals itself. Time to regroup.

Been doing the caulking in the bathroom so I’m equally miserable.  :-DD

Last time I had a blocked drain I was rodding it and the end came off inside the drain ffs. Took me three hours to get it out of the drain.

That's why I got one with an "inline" end, but it's not doing it for me. That some genius constructed this house with right angle drains in concrete floors so you can't get other tools in properly isn't helping either.

Hope you don't have to do what I had to for a clogged sewer. That's in one of my bedrooms circa 2007 (that's not me it's the plumber). Not fun.

I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

Dyno rod are crap. When my mother's 1840 house had a blockage, the first idiot was equipped to clear sink traps. The second was cleared to use rotovators, but there were none available. The third was equipped, but failed.

Called local company MAD (Maintain-A-Drain), who fixed it first time, once they got round the right angle bend.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Hey guys... I just got done doing a bolt extraction on the Juki sewing machine by slotting with a Dremel, etc... I took a few pics and was thinking of doing a little "Tinkering 101: Bolt Extraction" post as a New Topic. Just... I have no idea where would be the right area on eevBlog.  :-//

Suggestions...?

I peeked in there first off; it looked like it was just people asking for help with repairs. I suppose I could post it and then submit to the "Vintage Restoration, etc Techniques" thread.

I put the Type 561B Repair/Restoration thread in the "Repair" section. It isn't just for folks ASKING for help on a repair.

I have posted my story of the Braun Visacoustic projector in the Repair section because of this:

"Ask for repair help or describe how to repair equipment"

"Ask for repair help or describe how to repair equipment"

This is an example of any and all tree-like hierarchical catalogue systems, from filing cabinets to the Dewey Decimal system, and fleabay. They can't unambiguously guide you to where things are; the best they can hope to acheive is to guide you away from where they aren't.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
