Yeah it's rancid. There's a place near us called Man vs Food which is much better and delivers via Uber Eats

A potentially enlightening article of the (non)economics of food delivery... https://themargins.substack.com/p/doordash-and-pizza-arbitrage
... always presuming the stated facts are true.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Three of the four modules are damaged and under repair.
Nice setup you got there. If you manage to add a SG504, you are well set for scope calibrations.
Sg503 has been repaired. 502 waiting for a power supply regulator IC, tg501 has not yet started. Thank you for your advice. I have never paid attention to sg504 before. I need to understand

Thanks for the reminder. But if a RMS Value changes by 26 µV, the added voltage must surely be RMS, too?

That's why I conclude with essentially, "it's more complicated than that" because you need to evaluate the whole system to be precise about what noise is going to get through to your reading and how it is going to get through - e.g. on the HP3458A there's an analogue measurement path (rms converter) and the sampling converter path, there's ADC aperture times, actual filters, digital filters. The main noise in the reading is most probably going to be 1/f noise and it's going to be very dependent on the exact measurement system path and aperture/averaging times whether that noise is 'averaged' in an individual measurement (in which case it would show up as rms in that reading) or whether the readings are fast enough that the 1/f noise shows up as a peak-peak difference between readings or even disappears as 'not within measurement band' for the AC reading. Messy. My numbers were merely intended as a "back of fag packet" calculation to evaluate the hypothesis "Are those reading differences likely to be uncertainty due to noise?".

You're certainly right, things are (much) more complicated here. I probably should be glad that I do not have to analyze it. No, I am glad! ;D

@tonyalbus, they all look almost new, well done, the Phillips meter looks from what we can see as if you just took it out of the box. Be careful of the plastics on it, they get very brittle with age. I have had 2 of those and also one of those counters, nice haul.

Today's mission: Get the Type 561B powered up.

I've replaced all the burnt components on the PSU board. I need to check the TO-3 regulator and if indeed hosed replace it. Then reinstall the board, making sure ALL wiring is correct. Then hit the power.

If you hear a scream and see smoke later call the EMT's.  :-DD

Hell, I bought an HP 5245L a few years ago because the display said "cps" and my other one was newer and marked in Hz.

Good luck, Mike - I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I'm going to head in and join the skeleton crew at the radio museum for the first time since before my last CA trip in March.  I got home just as this insanity really blew up and everything shut down.  Catch y'all later, and will try to remember the Discord get together later on.

8000A's are drifty and the reason is that Fluke went with an unregulated +5V supply. If that 8000A doesn't have the battery option there is a fix. You'll need to install an additional small power transformer because the original can't provide the voltage headroom for a 7805 chip to regulate. I also upgraded the +/- 15V supplies with modern IC's.
