No exploding head.  Not yet, anyway.

That might come later if it arrives and works.  "Working" will include function and accuracy against the little DMMcheck Plus I have.

There is a downside, however.

Once I get this, I will have run out of excuses as to why I haven't performed my desk restructure - which involves an almost complete deconstruction, including all the bits I have squirreled away in various locations.  Until now, my excuse is that I haven't been able to properly assess location of the 3478A for space requirement and convenience of operation.  When it turns up, that excuse goes out the window ... but I will need to locate a right-angled IEC lead.   ::)

 >:( Just got an update on what I'm doing tomorrow.  SWMBO wants to go food shopping in the morning, which means I might be able to delay things until the parcel arrives - but I won't be given a chance to open it.  That will only happen when we get back and the food is put away.

No signature required for this.  He'll just dump it and go.

Fortunately, I know the sound of his van, so it won't be sitting on the front step for long.

It’s a human trait. Same reason I complete about 20% of the projects I start :)

And I thought I am alone with that.  ::)  ;D

Minor distraction from TE and PLC matters :-DD

Discovered that the problems with the Ender were because the extruder drive was worn out and slipping and the first layer wasn't going down properly. Spent some time putting the new aluminium one on it that I've had around for ages. Spent at least ten minutes trying to find some instructions and just worked it out in the end...

   And we're back in business.
How's this one working out after a few days?    I received the same on when I intended to buy the genuine CReality version like this one:

Have you actually had a chance to put it to work yet? I have both now; the silver one on my Tornado and this one just I received. I have to admit I was not at all impressed; despite coming from the CReality Store on Amazon, the quality of manufacture & included hardware is no where near that of the silver one, and it doesn't have the spring tension adjustment mechanism the silver one has. :wtf:

mnem

Seems ok so far. I did a thorough fit and finish inspection before assembly. The original one I had started slipping slightly which was causing poor first layer and adhesion issues. This one, perfect. I’m sure time will be required to find out if it’s any good really. I’ll let you know.

UPS just dumped the replacement hard drive. They were adamant that they needed a signature though.
So I hope the drive survived being dumped, it has to dry up first after being soaked in IPA.

OK.  We'll just call you lucky .... I can handle that.

I can handle that because my 3478A has landed in Australia and cleared customs!!  :-+  :-+

It has now entered the scope of local Australia Post tracking.  Last event was arriving at a facility in Sydney late this afternoon, which means it might turn up in 2-3 days.   ;D

UPDATE:  I have just received an email saying that it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow!!

To date, all such emails have proven to be accurate - and, from previous experience, it is likely to land on my doorstep sometime between 7am and 9am.

That’s because it’s more difficult to stab someone 2m away :)

How are you this morning bd? I'm a bit sore this morning..., not from coughing or anything like that, but I went base over apex yesterday day thanks to my son who is a recycling fanatic, he had folded a large cardboard box flat and left it on the hallway floor for the next person going out the front door to stuff into the cardboard sack. I came along didn't see it, stubbed my toe on it went flying onto the stairs and now left arm is very sore as a result  :palm:

Good today. Feeling pretty normal other than coughing up dead bits of me  :-DD

Whoops! Take it easy. Literally you don’t want to end up in hospital at the moment. I’ve banned my lot from doing anything risky so they don’t end up with second rate care at the moment which is apparently normal if because of redistribution of care. Grr.

To be more accurate I felt normal when I wrote that and attempted to do the washing up and had to go and sit down again. Fatigue sucks  :--

Plain silver spring or the "upgraded" yellow one...?

The Diggro A3 came with one of the yellow springs like they use to upgrade the Ender 3 bed on the extruder. Came with them on the bed too.

Originally silver now yellow because I changed it a while back after I cleaned it. But even before I didn't notice any particular issue with it.
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

@tggzzz, I don't like to say "I told you so", but...

Someone posted a question in beginners, not sure if it's a troll post or not.

I tried to answer it as if it were a genuine question... "connecting to 0 volts"

Yep only when I had fever though. Drank some coke zero and it tasted completely different to usual and also couldn't eat sausage as it had no flavour at all.  :--

that means that any stuff I might be getting from you would have to go through the IPA ultrasonic followed by the UV C dry cycle and the Gamma Ray decon.

Hope you won't experience any of those lung term effects ...

Apparently, this is another symptom that they say many people with the virus said that they experienced, you continue to take care.
