I think the insertion into appropriate orifice's might help the verbal diarrhea that is Audio Foolery.  :horse:

Audio Noise Stoppers anyone :palm: The Description is important to read as it explains the pseudo non sciencey stuff.... eBay auction: #293078533933

If you were on Discord on the weekend you would already know this too (Attachment Link)

Thanks, bean. That listing gave me a good laugh! They are nice dust covers, though. Maybe I should put some on my DMMs. :-DD

provides both, yes indeed, both sonic and environmental protection.   :palm:

Not worried about him selling it as he's probably moved onto something else and I probably supplied it initially anyways. But several hundy more than new price just because it's hacked ?  :-//

bean-f has been TEA enabling in both purchase (pointing to eBay) and repair (3d print file of foot) of a pair of working hp 5000 series freq gen 1MHz and 75MHz freq counter. The rear foot was 'missing' but I had printed out one before as a spare with soft/flexible pla.
All happy - I will have to be good for a while - the house air-conditioning has died 17yrs old - replacement 12k AUD!
We can get max temps here around 40C in the next month - I am praying for mild weather!
Whoah! Watch where that landed we might need it later.

Kind of the same but different. The wooden one you remove the head and the metal ears are the bottle opener.  ;) I suspect looking at the face it is Asian origin and back in the 60-70's I am sure fairly common tourist junk. These days more and more of our wine is coming without corks so the need is less and for bottle openers I have that covered  >:D

Mmmm Maybe a Naomi Wu corkscrew ......

Ok sampling head in progress. Have discovered MMBD354/355 diode pairs have suitably low capacitance and storage time and are really really cheap on RS. MAX961 can still get for pocket money. Have a roll of "mil spec" RG58 in the cupboard with enough on it to produce a 40ns delay line. Already have some LF355 opamps for S&H. Have most of the discretes. Will keep front end SMD based to keep stray capacitance and inductance down so will have to spend on that a bit. Reckon I can do that for £15. Whether or not it'll work effectively is another thing. NanoVNA should be able to be used to tune input to around 300MHz and check delay line matching so a win there at least.

Edit: Will do a board via JLCPCB though over next few days and order it. Don't expect miracles for weeks :)

If your 'cupboard of shame' is empty, I am not sure you really understand TEA!
LOL
Mine is full of projects, with most of the parts, eg modifying that cheap and cheerful freq gen with a better txco, but I never quite got ' a-round-tuit'. One of my better moves was to put individual 'projects-to-be' in a plastic bag, with the article - reference printed out and write on the bag in black texta wtf it is! If I got stuck somewhere - where and why - I will also scribble down.
Whoah! Watch where that landed we might need it later.
