I found some old project of UV exposure unit timer, with STM32F030, cuted some traces, added some wires, added SHT21, about hour and half of measuring and drawing and a few hours of printing and I am in half way to finish.

I have printed radiation cover for it from PLA but i have to reprint it from PETG. PLA is too fragile as I founded.

A plan is to place it outside on balcony, enclosure is IP68 rating (for now:D ), powering with two 18650 and maybe solar cell. A TME has nice for a good price.

Does anyone here have a willem programmer, version 6.0E?  I can't find the CD with the software and manual and a couple of hours of digging through the interwebs has left me empty-handed.

EDIT:  literally thirty seconds after typing this, i thought, wait, didn't i very carefully sort and file all the manual and software DVDs about six months ago just so i'd know where they were? of course i did...  down to the bench, open the cabinet, pull out the binder with filled with DVDs and find the missing disk.

there was a company in the swiss, "Elesta", they made cold cathode switching tubes, a fine gas filled quality.
The little problem in manufacturing was, they are not vacuum, so the little getter inside is a very special one, to remove oxygen from the gas. I think they used cesium for that, when you are searching where you have put them use the GM, it works loud

Thats cool, every time I used to visit there, I was escorted everywhere, either by a staff member or a policeman, a very high security area, just like its sister establishment on Foulness Island. Strange thing on the Island was that I was searched on the way in and out of there. The car was also similar searched, right through everything in the boot under the car with mirrors etc, escorted around the buildings but free to drive the entire length and breadth of the island on my own except in the live firing zones. Anyway back to your 3400A, that would explain the airline pilots reporting a strange orange glow emanating from a house in Isleworth on the north bank of the River Thames I guess

that is a very good price.

really liked mine despite the annoyance of having to fettle with a storage tube.

oh.....and the ribbon cable to the storage tube gets crusty and brittle and arcs.  when that happens a diode blows.   but it is a well documented fault and easy to replace.  (the diode.  the ribbon cable is unfixable and unobtainium.  but you can make your own replacement with film sheets from staples and enameled wire.   multiple layers will stop the arcing)

oh....and it uses harmonic mixing with no preselector.  but there is a signal identifier circuit so you can double check to make sure the signal you are looking at did not sneak in from a different band.

oh....and the power supplies in the chassis were designed by a sadist.   they are all referenced together and full of charred weird value resistors that run hot hot hot.  about every third power up would blow a fuse on my tired old beast.  finally gave it to my old boss who had a fleet of 5 or 6 of them and was getting pretty good at trouble shooting the power supplies.

oh....and the transistors on the little square horiz driver boards have a tendency to blow.  but they are an easy fix.

oh...if some dimwit has transmitted into the input on the 8555 the mixer will be toast.  sometimes you can find a replacement on ebay but it will cost more than you paid for the entire chassis.

but when working they are a thing of beauty and a joy forever (or until a fuse blows).

Nailed it. If I see a cheap classic guitar amp I’m going to eviscerate it on YouTube and crush the audio tubes. 

I wouldn't do that. It's not the fault of the tubes, that some human beings are that stupid.
I would build instead a nice oscillator or a measurement bridge, similar to the one in the
R&S URU BN 1080 (it is using a E88CC) just to show those tube vultures,
what REAL engineers can do with vacuum tubes.

I have just spoken to someone I know who may be sending me some "desirable audio tubes". They are however knackered i.e. open filament or degraded but none are gassy so it looks like they're good. That may have the desired trolling effect

Don't do that. Do you personally know an audio fanatic? If yes then break all the duff tubes and string them together and hang them off his front door.
