1966, the only year England ever won the World Cup...   :-[

@grizewald you should watch/read "The Andromeda Strain"  (re furry plastic)

That empty space... it looks like a homebrew kit scope. Those are some long-ass rods through those range selector wafer switches   :o

All those trimmers are clearly there so that you can do all your own LCR maths on the front end!   :-DD

Either that or the designers were like, "well, we think it might work, but we're not 100% sure..."

I'm still trying to make it connect to the Canadian Amazon Video servers, but that's the ONLY thing it doesn't do; I might not need a Roku for the Dark Lord Regza I just resurrected...  :o

And I have another question:

What is this "Hidden user" anyway?

It's mnem....stalking me.  :-DD :-DD

Yeah, you'd better watch out!

Just because I promised I would stalk ONLY YOU, does not mean I'm ALWAYS stalking you.  ;)

Shitty weather is going to marvellous. I'm getting kitted out and going to hit the Chiltern hills (Ivinghoe Beacon) after lunch before it gets dark. 10 miles of being pissed on is my idea of a good afternoon :)

First task is printing a graticule holder to fit on the metal pegs around the screen and then get a 10 x 8 graticule printed.

Are you sure it should be 10 x 8? The screen looks square and both the vertical and the horizontal units are in cm.
Keyboard error: Press F1 to continue.

The weather for Sunday looks to be very bad with very strong winds and some structural damage and trees affected, not really the sort of weather to take on a 200-mile round trip for what could be a wasted journey, I'll have to think about Harwell some more tomorrow.  :palm: :scared:

Yeah I’m having second thoughts on going for a walk now as well. Might postpone until following weekend.

Still doing Harwell. Hopefully the traders will turn up

Most games involving "real" people present an unrealistic and unachievable view of the human experience anyway so why should Lara be any different?

leave it to adolescent males to have the capacity to sexualize a small collection of triangles

I still remember that forward handstand move she would do.

Some years ago I thought I would read some of the Hippocratic arguments - interesting but long winded.
One section I remember was about the definition of a 'good man', sexual vigour got included in the discussion. Hippocrates, an old man at that stage commented that he was glad of the fading of his libido as an older man as it was 'an ardent task master' in his youth!
Whoah! Watch where that landed we might need it later.

I thought the screen looked square as well to start with, but looks can be deceiving. Here's a photo of one with its graticule installed...

Message from Ebay seller in China to me, they can't ship my RF MOSFET for a repair I'm doing due to the Corona Virus. But I should be safe when they do -

Quote
Hello friend,
Thanks for patient.
if we could went to out work until Feb 19th,Which means we are safe then,
and we will disinfect our hands and our parts with alcohol,
also, our government tell us ,the virus could not live with our people or animal,
so we think the virus could not live in the parts we ship to you,
especially for such long time delivery,
hoping you could undertanding,thanks
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

I was at my local big box hardware the other day.  The PPE section looks like something out of Venezuela.  They were limiting mask purchases to 10 per customer.

I think he means "the virus cannot live without people or animals",  that is, it can't live outside a host, at least for very long.
