My 5334B is now on eBay. Moment it goes I'll get an FA-2 I think. While I know it's not perfect, it's small and decent enough for the money ![Smiley :)](https://www.eevblog.com/forum/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
Plus I can pretend I've downsized then while I'm sweeping the 10-odd items that are coming from China under the magic make it go away rug ![Cheesy :D](https://www.eevblog.com/forum/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
You don't need any more "help" but -
Here's some stats from the still unadjusted FA-2. Over 1199 10s periods (3.33 hours) it had the stats shown using it's own reference. Reading an average of 0.053 762 7 Hz high from my GPSDO. No doubt the most accurate frequency counter I've ever received which was untweaked, used or new.

That’s pretty damn excellent. Sold!

To be fair I only need 1-2Hz accuracy for checking oscillator drift so that’s amazing for the money.
hey med
wow! a freq counter with 12 digits of resolution. it would be wrong to dive into that swamp without an upgrade to your house standard.
had a spare lpro-101 rubidium with plenty of life left in the physics package lamp......but have not seen it since we moved 4 years ago.
will have a look in some unopened boxes down the basement.
oh....you would have to make a power supply (seems like 24 V at a couple of amps? and you can't just whack it in next to a transformer because they can be sensitive to stray magnetic fields). oh.....and it has a base plate on one side that you gotta heat sink. (maybe mine is running at about 20V because someone said the lamp would last longer that way?)
aaaaand next you will need a gps freq standard to make sure the rubidium standard is doing its job. hope you have a spot for an outdoor antenna.
do you really want to go down the 12 digit rabbit hole? lady heather can be a real bitch. (not making that up....some comedian named the gps discipline software "lady heather")

You know where my priorities lie.....
Tek 1st
Volt-nut 2nd
Time-nut 3rd
Right now something in the possible works has the priority.

Tek somewhere lower down.
Got some Christmas TEA from the government auction. Again, it look like I'm the only one bidding. Offered barely over the starting price. Got myself a new signal generator (IFR2025) and nice GPSDO (R&S ED170MP).
What? Did you not look for some crap that is smaller and cheaper even new?
C'est en vogue!
As far as I'm concerned: congrats!

Well compared to my old
Rhode & Schwarz SMPD, the IFR2025 is quite small. Or thinner I should say, since they have the same form factor.

Okay... that was a little dark...

Trying to think of some way these could be useful on the bench; they're available locally at surplus auction. Appears they're designed to be used for calibrating motor drive panels and Electric Co meters & such.

is wrong with me... up at this hour thinking about stupid shit like this. *Knocks self unconscious with a clock mallet*
Apparently all my new toys are at Langley HWDC

So last delivery day is 24th. Wonder if anything will turn up to get me through Boxing Day and new year boredom.
good luck.
I can get a DSOX2002A, apparently unused or extremely light use, for less than 500 EUSSR-Rubles. (Euros that is)
WHat do you think, is it worth it ? It never hurts to get a 2nd Oscilloscope, and having one from more or less the same lineup as is already there seems tempting.
However it is still money that my husband wants me to spend for him ...
I think that’s a windows CE variety scope. Keysight are switching over their platform to Linux apparently and it’s a bit of a mess at the moment. One reason I didn’t go in that direction. Slightly afraid of being abandoned.
I’m probably going to make Tautech happy and swap my DS1054Z out for a Siglent once all the vendors have their shit in order next year and I’m sure there’s nothing better available for the same money.
I’ve got three scopes so I’m not going to say more is too many

At least, that's a good price for it. 2nd scope, WTF - you're in the wrong thread here

, most of us have rather around five or ten scopes, I believe.
good luck.

Not bad for that money.
if you do not have a portable scope you I would invest the money in that direction.
my second (well I am not sure anymore) scope was a TEK THS720.

Including Tek, non-Tek, and DSO.........13.
