Went to the Bay of Ebil to see quite how painful bd139's life was about to become hunting down that ZM1000 and tripped across this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/METRIX-OX803B-2-x-40-MHz-0956-analog-oscilloscope-/184087117880

For those who can't be bothered to follow the link it's a "METRIX OX803B 2 x 40 MHz / 0956 analog oscilloscope" with a "Buy it now" price of £1,181.23. I've seen some dumb asking prices for 'scopes before, but I think that's a record new level of fuckwitery.

Holy shit, what are they smoking?  |O

Dried greed with a pinch of foolishness from their customers.
Yeah, its that time of year when all the idiots come to play shops to get Christmas present money, stupid prices and then there's the scammers and hijacked eBay accounts, bastards  |O :box:

Welcome to the nuthouse, Dek. Restrooms are over there, there's always breakfast tacos in the hotbox over there. Pay no attention to the sounds of rattle-can painting in the corner over there...  :-DD

mnem
Watch out for the Polack-dwagon inhaling paint fumes in the corner... those limey scone-eaters are shady as fuck also. >:D

ya' made me laugh out loud.  (almost enough to make me use an emoji, and that's not part of my idiom)

I'll get you someday, freqq. Someday...  >:D

Fancy a scone now.  :-DD

Mmmm, fresh TEA and scones .

Now look at the second picture, showing a really interesting "wiring" of the pipes.

In Sweden, it is illegal to join or branch two pressurised water pipes inside a wall  All joins and branches, whether soldered, flanged, press-fit or threaded, regardless of pipe material, must be out in the open.  And for good reasons, it seems.

Drains, OTOH, are OK; a lot of waste water piping is done with gasketed HDPE pipe, and that's OK to run in concrete or otherwise inside a wall.

This time of year does have its compensations though - afternoon snack, a fat slice of real Italian panettone:

Personally I prefer Panforte di Sienna, e.g. https://www.antonio-carluccio.com/panforte_di_siena/ I met Carluccio once, before he became TV celebrity cook. Bugger wouldn't tell me where he gathered his fungi :)

I first had panforte at this time of year while interrailing to Greece, narrowly missing major earthquakes and rioting soldiers usn live ammunition in Athens. Panforte has the benefit of keeping well in a backpack, and only needing small quantities to bolster the spirits.

Hi All,

First post on this group.

Thought it time to admit...I'm a .......I'm a .......I'm a TEA
Just got this out of the Bay and it's named after me so I had to have it.
Quick check, looks like all the 'Dek-ades' are OK :-)

Dek

I have a Dekastat and a Dekapot. The feel of the movement is almost pornographic.

A little bit off-topic (but it is hilarious  :-DD )

A friend of mine sent me the link to this video from the police in Bern / Switzerland. Those two guys are real Swiss policemen.

I like it.  :-+  :-DD

I also noticed that at first the second cop was doing the Vulcan hand gesture when he put his hands up, but quickly 'corrected' himself and closed his fingers.   :-DD

Good one, and the für Leia and für Luke von Papi tags on the presents Vader was holding were a nice touch, too.   :-+

Don't worry about it.  Just make a new list.  Hell, put it off until tomorrow to make it.  It's all good.

What's really funny is that if you search the thread for "taco", there's 2 pages of hits; and they're all me propagating this silly little meme.  :-DD

It's using a windows phone by the looks so it's already done for  :-DD

Believe it or not I'm still using my Nokia 925 with Win8.1 but I am upgrading this Christmas. Nothing wrong with the phone itself. Extremely reliable but slowly all the apps are going down the toilet due to lack of support.

Was using a Nokia 935 with windows 10 up until recently. Great phone with a great camera (20mpix). Switched to a pixel 3 since windows on mobile is pretty much dead  :-\

I had a Lumina 950 Windows phone with 8.1 installed and then got a free upgrade to Windows 10, 20Mpix camera and I loved it, performed well, large screen and the camera was excellent.
