Does five Fluke products qualify me for this group?

In no particular order, I own a Fluke 115, an 87V, and 88V, a 376, and a 365.

The 88v was the deluxe kit. I also ordered one of the accessories kit, as well as a master accessories kit.
And I have a pair of Probe Master automotive probes in route.

Fluke isn't my only addiction, however the products aren't test equipment.

Aussie Classic Flavoured TEA eBay auction: #264539151446 I actually have one of these tucked away in the container my Uncle gave me 40'ish years ago.

Flashback!

My son made up one of those years ago ... and I had one similar.  It's gotta be somewhere.....

Sure, I think it qualifies. If you post pics it practically guarantees instant membership.  8)

Oh ...

Before you settle in and get comfortable, it is recommended you check out the very first post of this thread where you can meet our mascot and check out a wealth of relevant information, including an extensive glossary, a list of points of interest and our anthem.

Another day on the 184. I removed the crystal oven and went through the power supply from the plug through the three DC outputs.  There's a modest amount of ripple on the DC rails; not enough to remove the big honkin' caps across the bridge, though I might anyway.

Then I put the crystal oven in place and, as expected, there is 10MHz and 100MHz noise on the DC rails.    Trouble is, I am not sure what noise is actually on the rails and what is getting coupled into the oscilloscope leads.  |O

Nothing in the box is shielded. So now I am trying to figure out how to get a reasonably accurate view of things given the equipment and probes that I have handy.  The biggest problem is, of course, the ground leads...

I have:

8050A
8010A
2- 8800A
8600A
8000A
1900A
1912A
7260A
87 Series 1
8021B

Oh, and an 8810A parts unit.

Does that answer your question?  :-DD

Hi again!

All the cheese/bacon/egg/food discussion made it a lot easier to follow the thread the last days...   >:D

I'm still working to get my bench pimped with a nice rack for all my boat anchors.
But before I could use my cellar room/work shop for metal works (drilling and countersinking mainly for this) I improved it with 2x 4000K, 2400 ANSI Lumen LED lights instead of one 60W light bulb ("Funzel").
I now have something like light daylight in that room that used to be a dimly lit cave.
I also installed two electrical outlets on the wall behind my work bench where my drill stand is located. Before, the only outlet was on the other side of the shop right at the door -and I always had to use an extension cable.

Next up is building a fixture with quick releases for drilling 30mmx 30mm 90° extruded aluminium angle profiles.
I have to drill/countersink two holes into every single one and I got 60 to drill so the quick releases to clamp them will be worth the effort, I hope.
A life without TEA is possible but pointless.

Day for jig building here too. Prototype brackets made with the assistance of BeanNC. 20mm holes will be a bit of a stretch with manual gear. If it works then some other bloke can make me a batch lot.  :phew:

Even managed to make two left and two right ones without cocking it up  ;D

Of course.

Depending on your personality you will find this group either An Enabler or An Awful Warning. Your choice :)

Talking of fluke products, just left the radio rally empty handed. Bugger all of interest at prices which didn’t exceed eBay. Literally Fluke counter for £40 that wasn’t even tested. Blown up Tek 2235 covered in bird shit for £15. Nope!

It does have a certain utilitarian non capitalist thing going on  ;) Seller seems to have a few of them so might be worth an offer for anyone more local interested in them. Happy with my current stash of Nixie gear but another can never hurt  >:D
