But seriously... the Gator is a 20-30 year piece of equipment, like everything JD was back then. And hydrostatic drive, so no snowmobile belts to wear out. The only thing wrong with them is... they're shamelessly FARM EQUIPMENT. You ride them because you have to get work done, not for fun. Even though you CAN get in a fair bit of fun trouble with 6-wheel drive.

Too big, too heavy and too slow.
We needed a nimble pack horse not a truck and it wasn't suitable for our hilly clay country that gets a little boggy in winter.

Yep, that's all mine in the foreground and if it didn't blow like nuthing on earth up there that's where I'd build a house.....but you'd need to sling wire ropes over it to hold it down.
