A quick sneak peek/ preview. About 3/4's unpacked now.

One of the coolest things about the seller was he gave me this pen and said his grandfather would be happy knowing the lot is going to get some good use. I told him I was honored and will make him proud! The 'Cal stickers' are from his former lab out in California; maybe someone here knew him?
That's an impressive haul[emoji106]

How about another DMM?

Already have one but the Advantest is over width and height for the space available. With a reshuffle I can now fit in a 3458A by dropping the Racal for the rear and drop the 34401A on top of the Siglent. Advanced Planning/Tetris at work  ;D

Nope Struck out there I have a Valhalla 2703 AC Calibrator in very nice order and several DMM's better specced than the HP  ;)

Unfortunately, I HAVE to sell most of it to cover costs...but that'll be done in another thread. Here I just want to play and share with everyone, but you're welcome to PM me if something catches your eye.

Cheers,

Chris

It's too bad you are not closer to me. I would love to borrow that 5200A just once. Of all the references I have here AC function is almost totally lacking. I have 1 reference, 1VAC/60Hz. And it's not all that accurate. According to consensus with my DMM tribe it measures 1.005VAC to 1.008VAC.

Maybe we can work it out, I do NOT plan to sell the 5200 unless I am in a pinch, and even then, Id go do a real job for a little to get to money to keep it. As such, once I get it up and running, and warm for a few days, I'll record and send you the data, then if you do end up using it, you can cross-reference...Its not out of the realm of possibility.

Sounds good!  :-+ :-+ Taken 5 minutes ago. This is how my new Siglent resolves the 1VAC reference.

Guilty as charged.  :-DD I've never been able to properly calibrate the AC function on the Tek 2465 DMM because it requires constants of 190mVAC, 1.9VAC, 19VAC, 190VAC, etc and NOT just at 60Hz. And I know it's way out of spec because it's about 3VAC high when measuring line voltage.

If you would like to test them, I'll mail them to you...I feel like you are *another one of the forum pros who make this site as valuable as it is today. (just say, "they don't work" and keep them)  :-/O  This way if I put, "non working, scrap on the box, for all I know, its the truth.

My AC Calibrator is one of the more indulgent bits of test gear I own and has been used maybe a dozen times since I got it but there really isn't any other way to properly test true RMS meters. Pony up @Med you know you 'need' too  :-DD

The table has lots of cool stuff on it too.

Damn, Inverted - that's quite a haul!

I finally ordered a manual for the non-working Fluke 5200A I got a few months ago.  It will be nice (assuming I can repair it) to have AC capabilities.  If/when I do, med, I think you're only about two hours away from me - certainly within schlepping distance for a potential play date.

If it jams, force it.  If it breaks, you needed a new one anyway...

Yea, I may have to pony up. I did throw together a crude AC calibrator once by using a function generator, a power transformer connected in reverse, a voltage divider with a pot. It got me pretty close on the lower voltages at 60Hz but when one of cal points was 19KHz the power transformer said "FU"  |O. And no way could I get 190VAC RMS.
