?? Why are you taking Fusion files via Meshmixer ?? It does export STL's mine actually open in Slic3r from fusion without a save.

You need to set Custom Output and point it at Cura in case you haven't figured it out.

@beanflying, the box containing the items I bought from you is safely in the possession of SWMBO; I'll open them up when I get back. :)

@mnem, Yep I know what you mean, it's the nearest thing to magic...., yes I have seen it before, that's your 3 meter rack being printed  8)

#3 is printing... Camera's rolling from about 1.5 hours into the print. Should be 45 minutes to an hour of meditation for you. ;)

I tried... It refused to launch. Maybe because my Cura is a brand new revision?   I'll try again; I'm working on another project tomorrow. A "more hooks" lead tree for the top of my Tri-Meter stand. That I will try and import; I really like the one I have, I just wanna add a shedload of hooks on the back side now for all those 13ga test leads I made.   Now that I think of it, problem may be due to a default filetypes setting in Windoze. :-+

I'm curious, if provided with the necessary information and or a digital model of it would you be willing to print something and sell it? If so, what would be the maximum size?

To many unknowns. Not all things are printable in a single chunk. Some may be required to be made in sections due to layer orientation and strength of the finished item. 220x220x300 is common for mid sized printers and mnementh (think I have the Tevo's size correct) and my larger printers are 300x300x400. Then there is material limitations depending on what use it is intended for.

Sorry for the delay, took me a hot minute to make this model.  A very simple shape just one with a few carefully sized and placed holes.

Keeping 3D printing ongoing but back to TEA'ish content. I rolled this Inductor holder for my Muirhead decade switch today. 30 minutes of printing and 30 minutes of Fusion. No one will see it but I will know it is neat and tidy ;D

To be fair my request for 3D printing is TEA at it's finest. A bracket for BNC connectors and one N connector to mount under a desk and go to and fro on my server rack. I could make it with plywood and hand tools, but i'm too busy working, either for walmart or on test equipment.

It is one of the nice things about the technology. Things we used to make from metal with a hacksaw, drill an file become easier and more accurate.

I have posted this one in the workbench thread but in a similar idea to keep the place nice. I have a bunch of custom Hooks, Hangers and mounts under the benches and shelves in the shack and house.

Thank godness, I've got me a spare Trimble 57963-D board long time ago!

My Trimble 57963-D based GPSDO shows strange behaviour since last night.
Turns out it has lost it's lock and doesn't lock any more.   :-BROKE

Checked supply voltages (ok*), cabling (ok), different antennas (ok, working with spare GPSDO board), it just won't lock any more.
In effect I've fallen back from two GPSDOs at my lab to actually one.   >:(
I'm going up to two again when my new BG7TBL GPSDO arrives.   :)

Strange thing about it is that the DAC controlling the OCXO can drive it lower and higher than 10MHz in startup meaning it's unlikely that the OCXO is defective in a way that it's adjustment input isn't working properly. Also the temperature of the OCXO seems to be regulated and stable. I will investigate further after work..

*- My Trimble 57963-D based GPSDO is one of these.
I liked (and still do like) the idea of an interface board and an internal power supply and it worked fine until last light.
When I checked the supply voltage of the internal switch mode power supply (LM2678ADJ based) it had 6,5V whereas I had the information that the Trimble 57963-D takes 5,5 +/- 10% which results in max. ~6V voltage!
I found (after a searching the 'net) information that it'll be fine with higher voltages also letting the onboard regulator run hotter. Yep, it was: I barely could touch it. But: It limited the internal board voltage to about 5V, so no over voltage damage had to be expected.
Anyway, I changed the adjustment voltage divider of the LM2678ADJ to an output voltage of ~5.5V and now the LM2678ADJ isn't running hot any more.
Still won't lock.   :(
A life without TEA is possible but pointless.

Does it output position data on the serial port?

That is a lot more than 30 minutes CAD time for an old fart like me. ;) Paper and drafting table... probably about right, if I don't get all anal about the Title/Revision blocks.  :-DD

How are you going to solder them in close proximity to that thermoplastic? Seems highly unlikely you won't uglify the hell right out of it.

Anyways... my project is also TEA-related... in that it supports that holiest of holy grails, keeping SWMBO happy with my tinkery.  :-DD

So, without further cunctation or procrastination, here I present to you: Glass Monitor Shelf Rev 1.1.

Not only is it the perfect width and depth to stow her new Xmas laptop under, it is also exactly the right height so that when in use, the top of the laptop screen comes right to the bottom of the monitor screen for over/under extended desktop.   Silicone sealant as adhesive inside the pockets to keep it all tight.

The only other thing I can think of is I MAY draft and print up a little bracket to go under one leg for the docking station brick to hold it in place; we'll see if it behaves once all the cables are hooked to it.

I will later, once it's in place. May take a few days, as I have to work this deployment around SWMBO.  ;)

Short version is that the legs place the top surface of the glass so it makes up the difference between the height of the top edge of the laptop screen (9-9.5" depending on angle) and the height of the top edge of the bottom bezel on the monitor (4 1/4").

Almost done; just waiting for it to cure now. Of course, nothing is ever as easy as you plan; I realized as I was getting ready to assemble that since I've chosen to invert the glass with the bevel side down, it loses about half the covalent area with the strongest compression plane. That means my adhesive needs to have gap-filling strength, so I had to switch from silicone sealant to epoxy.

Not a problem, except I just had to spend the last half-hour furiously scrubbing off the excess with alcohol and razor blade before it cures and becomes permanent. Jeezuz this epoxy smells like ass while it's curing.  :o

Here's first pass schematic for a precision 190mv, 1.9V, and 19V reference. I decided to go with a design so each voltage could be very precisely set individually for maximum accuracy. It's a higher parts count but not really all that more complex. Now to generate a parts list and  get an order in.

Feel free to provide input/suggestions.    :-+

Edit.....I'm going to put a design thought for a 500VDC reference on paper too. Watch this space.  :-DD
