My latest Ebay purchase has arrived, sold as not working, a Teac CR-H250 receiver, advertised as power LED is on but will not switch on. Thought the bloody thing just needed a couple of capacitors in the power supply, so I'd have something at last to get teeth into on the bench, but no, how fecking wrong was I.
Opened it up and a CD was wedged in the tray, wrestled it free and the tray opened up and the unit now works perfectly apart from the previous owner had had jabbed at the power button in a frenzy and I think has broken its mounting so it requires a little TLC to relocate it so the OFF position pops out a little more tp match the other buttons. Oh well thats as they say is how the cookie crumbles.
Back on to Ebay to take advantage of the £1 listing weekend later, loads more stuff to sale, not crap though but decent working equipment some TEA related other will be computer or audio related
