Is this TEA or the cooking channel?
Both, and neither. This is the magical room of TEA where everyone knows your name and the topic at hand is whatever the guy in the (metaphorical) corner happens to be babbling about.

such sympathy
I'm getting my own back now. I just had a roast dinner. On a Thursday. Screw the rules.
Yep, you can always count on your fellow members for sympathy, although too much rubbing it in about a roast dinner on a Thursday could cause a waning in the sympathy steaks...
There, fixed that for ya.
I just had roast chicken for dinner... not the same, I know... but
With cream. Unfortunately all is not well with me either so lactofree cream it is. Lactose is my kryptonite
Good...karma at work for eating all that forbidden stuff in front of the SWMBO.
It's my understanding that except for a rare few with LI that manifests as acute IBS, 6-8 grams, sometimes as much as 12 grams per meal is still tolerated well.
Heavy whipping cream has almost no lactose; it's all fat. Well, 0.41 grams per ounce... which still makes it less than a gram for the 60 or so grams I pour in a cuppa coffee.
Alternately, unsweetened almond milk; I prefer vanilla flavored as it masks the slightly fishy taste of plain almond milk. Zero lactase, 1 gram carb for 8 oz. All recommended carbs on my 10-20 gram a day keto diet.
