"SOME refund"... uh huhh. Yeah... Okay, I'll play along a LITTLE longer and request a refund nicely before filing a claim; I'm bored and I haven't finished my coffee.

No electrons were harmed in the production or distribution of this post. A great many were terribly inconvenienced, however.
Yep, I have seen this exact same reply, suck you in and think maybe they are trying to help you so you accept a resend only the re-sent item never arrives and it goes till your window of opportunity runs out then and only then you hear the door being slammed shut. Raise a claim now.
I had a buyer raise a claim over a meter I sold that inadvertently had the fuses left out, he was chatting with about can I resolve the problem and I'd already said yes and that I'd pop them in the post the following morning, 1st class post so he should have them the next day. Then all of a sudden I get an open dispute claim from Ebay where he had told them that he did not expect a favourable response from me so wanted a refund.
He claimed that the meter would not work without the fuses, which is not correct, fuses are required on a Fluke 25 to measure current, all other ranges worked perfectly so he talking from the sun does not shine anyway. I spoke to Ebay and the promptly closed the request, he got the fuses the next day and I had to chase him and get him acknowledge that he had received them and that he was happy.
There are some sharks out there in Ebayland and it is also true, that a little knowledge is dangerous thing and this buyer found out just how little knowledge he had because I photographed it working just prior to wrapping it up and the photograph clearly shows the serial number so he cannot claim that the item he got was not the one advertised.
So you need to protect your back against these idiots of buyers and rogue traders.
