Some goodies on my local Craigslist. I have no interest in either. In fact, I think I would find that "clear" 87 somewhat distracting.
Actually, since we have no shortage of DMMs, an unusual one like that is just fine. If you're in a situation where being distracted by it is critical, just use another meter.
If you don't want it, buy it for mnem!

If mnem wants the link......here it is.....

Aside from the novelty factor... I find it absolutely, utterly, completely resistible.
But hey; you'll at least be able to see the path of the lightning through the meter as it knocks you on your ass...
I'd have to have a few more zeroes in the savings account before I'd even consider buying it solely for that reason; I'd still probably buy a BM869S first.
The tubing will cost more than the meter did.
Yeah, especially in my case since they were all free from Horror Fraught.
I like all your customizations, Brumby.
Thanks.
The "1000VDC" next to the volts jack should probably be red, like the "750 VAC."
I didn't even think about that. I was just following the original artwork.
Haha, yes, it must have Brumby somewhere on it.
Seems a bit self-serving - but that's a couple of votes. Maybe I should consider it.
Actually I considered that angle, but decided that the serendipity of how the original model number so easily lent itself to being Brumbified was evidence that it simply was meant to be. Besides; it's expected that an artist will sign his work.
Lemme know if you want a red one to demonize similarly...
