I'm sorry for posting here, I know it is the wrong thread, but I can't start a new post. I don't have the "start new" button. Am I missing something? I remember having the same issue some time ago but eventually I found the button. This time it is nowhere. Shouldn't it be in this screen? I know sometimes I have a hard time finding obvious buttons on the screen, hopefully this is not one of those cases.  :-[

Very strange, Miti. You seem to be missing lots of buttons. Maybe try flushing your browser's cache.

My local auction house has a "seized stock" section, and that often has high-end cameras in it. They typically go for 75% of the fleabay price, or 50% above the range suggested by the auction house.

The "unclaimed property" (presumably from airport security and/or customs seizures) is much cheaper; bundles of Kindles, knives and perfume seem common.
Interesting, which auction house is it and where is it please?

There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

No, that's not it, the white arrowhead shows/hides your avatar and the links to show unread/show new. I suggest to try another browser.

The "new topic" tab is only found at the top of the first page of each thread. So to start a new topic, in a group navigate back to page one and click the tab if you want to post on that thread/group.

Actually we're both wrong.  :horse:

His screenshot is from the 'Show Unread Topics' page and New Topic is not available on that forum page.
Try another page, pretty much any other page.

That's your Unread Topics section. It doesn't have a new thread button, because it's not in a specific subforum. Navigate to a specific subforum like the Projects section and there should be a New Topic button.

The TEA devil keeps coming ...  ::)

Guys ... how much is a good shaped, working fine Agilent 34401A worth for you ? Say easy, local pickup price, so no shipping cost.  :palm:

Upper limit ? Sweet spot ? Lower limit that you would not think twice with above conditions ?

Thanks All,

I go Home> Test Equipment and I should be in page 1 but I don't have the button. I am in Recent Unread topic. I had to click Test Equipment (see picture) again to get the New Topic button.

When I go to the test equipment folder I see: EEVblog Electronics Community Forum » Products » Test Equipment and the buttons are where they should be.

Where do you end up when clicking this: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ ?

Couple of quick test gear related pictures as I'm still dead in the water here.

Worst illustration and explanation of point award goes to RSGB from the full license revision book :palm: ... doing the exam this week so having a quick scan...

I can see sooooo many things wrong there.

Shouldn't that work better if it were a feed thru termination?

Yes generally a good idea to use a through termination. The SWR is going to be shit on a T-piece though. Fine for audio. I can see the following things that are wrong with it however:

1. The T-piece is usually connected to the scope in the middle so it's the wrong T piece.
2. The T-piece indicated can't be plugged into the scope because the gender is wrong.
3. Through termination as mentioned is definitely better.
4. Don't connect the probe to the T piece, it's not a 50 ohm match to the DUT.

I worked in a metal box with something like that once. Wondered if I'd grow another arm or something after that.

My father had a cantenna back in the late 1970s for hooky CB rig PAs. He ran it up the first time without oil and let the magic smoke out after about ten minutes. It was specified for mineral oil and transformer oil and not no oil  :-DD
